The bigger they are the harder they fall, it seems. Sadly for big clubs the debts are proportional. Smaller clubs seem to be able to streamline, but of course their access to funds is also limited. Take Chesterfield another club close to home. They bought a new ground and it hasn't given them the bounce hoped for.

Indeed. Before the age of the internet, you would get much better odds on England at a bookies outside the UK because hardly anyone else would back us. Similarly, you could often get a guaranteed return on a US-UK boxing match by backing the UK boxer with a US bookie and the the US boxer with a UK bookie.

I felt that it was only fair you ended up going down this season, but you absolutely shouldn’t be in this position and face an uphill battle to save the club. And I wonder how many Owls have signed the current parliamentary petition about having an independent regulator of football? And fans from other clubs also supported us; #FansUnited.

If so, suggest they contact Charlton Athletic Supporters' Trust if they want to know more about the backroom organisation of our protests. CAST will know who to put you in contact with. Also, before Thomas Sandgaard saved us from almost certain administration last autumn, CAST were seriously preparing for that eventuality.
We can all be fierce rivals during matches - the trick is to put that aside off the pitch. We have had support from fans of many clubs during our troubles, and also offered help. I am sure Owls fans will find the same. GOOD LUCK!
