Was gutted not to go today. My 8 year old has started playing for Hornchurch Urchins who are affiliated to the club.Lot of them went today but we had a prior engagement so missed out2

Sutton currently 1-0 up and 20 minutes away from securing league football for the first time in their 123 year history.0

2-0 now0

We are now just one league above Salford, Barrow, Harrogate and Sutton.

get that digger ready to plough up the plastic ready for next season Sutton

Wonder how they'll get on without the plastic pitch. It must surely be an advantage for them.
Can't wait for them to beat us in the league cup first round though.0 -
I’ve never liked Sutton United. I remember seeing them beat Bromley 5-0 when all five goals were offside (in my biased opinion).4

It will cost Sutton United in excess of £500,000 to install a grass pitch and meet the requirements of the English Football League next season.

Surely its time for the EFL to re-evaluate plastic pitches, they've come on quite a bit since the first ones at QPR and Luton.
Champions League games get played on them so why not EFL games.
Been to Bromley a few times in recent years and the pitch plays ok.
Say Sutton go straight back down, do they then dig up the grass and put plastic down again?3 -

The ball bounces to much, doesn't roll naturally and gives advantage to teams that play on it regularly.1 -
What was the last game you saw on a plastic pitch?0

I also remember England playing Lithuania on one and it was horrible.
As someone who's played plenty of football on them here and in the US, they aren't the same as good old grass.2 -
Thanks, we have differing opinions about plastic then. No problem.1

Brilliant play off game, pleased to see County get through.
Would like us to take a look at their winger Miller (another one I know) 😀0 -
Hartlepool v Bromley today.
Not been following Non League too much recently, have Bromley got a chance ? If they get promoted they'll be in the League below us: that feels weird.
Still not sure how the play-offs work in the National League.

They finished 7th so last play off spot, winning 4 and drawing 2 of their last 6 games to get there so are in form. In fact they won 8 and drew 4 of their last 13 games.
They got 4 points from Hartlepool in the league so certainly have a chance today, they faired less well against Stockport.2 -

Sounds like the Broms' defence is adopting a serene, almost a zen-like approach to their task this pm.
