He is still only 28 and this is probably he last half decent move. He hasn't played in league 1 for a long time, maybe a chance to rebuild his career here then have 2 or 3 good years, with us, in the championship?

Scandinavian players have always done well in the English game, I am happy to sign a Dane if they are good enough. Alex Pritchard, although only 28, is giving me far too many Ben Watson vibes. If he has a renewed hunger to perform then I’m all for it but that’s a big question mark IMO.1

That is true, to a degree, but it's also highly unlikely that we are going to have squad of 25 in league 1 that would be here for 3 or 4 years anyway.Todds_right_hook said:

Good quality loans are priceless, especially at our level, low quality loans are a waste of everyone's time.2 -

You shouldn't, it's silly. You don't want too many loans, but we would never have gone up a couple of years ago without Bielik and Cullen. Loans can give you access to excellent players you wouldn't otherwise have a chance of signing, you just don't want 5 out of your 11 players to be loans because then you have to rebuild after. A couple of quality first team loans could be the difference between promotion and staying in L1 for a team that has a lot of rebuilding to doAddick_8 said:

I would loan a premier league youngster as 4th choice centre back to allow barker u-23 time or a conference loan.1
