Good research AddicksAddick. Do we know what the initial take up of the postcode system was though? Some changes are readily adopted overnight whilst others can have a long lag between officially starting and people freely taking to them.0

True. Also they may have made a few of these and then used them well after they'd been made.Stig said:Good research AddicksAddick. mascot costume. Possibly from the Selhurst years.
Does anyone have a photo from that era of the mascots?
Or does anyone want to pay for it to be drycleaned?0 -

We have the People's cup but that's in the Museum proper. It's a terrible trophy TBH0 -
I was at the Den Bosch match, can't for the life of me remember what the trophy looks like. I look forward to it reopening.Henry Irving said:

My Dad’s friend was occasionally the guy who dressed up in the robin costume for matches at Selhurst and he would get complimentary tickets for the games. He gave one of these tickets to my old man (who had only lived in London for a year or so and had no real affiliation to any English teams) and he brought along a 2 or 3 year old me and the rest is history (a history of misery mostly, but history nonetheless!).Henry Irving said:

I’m waiting for “mascot costume age verification” to come up naturally in conversation.AddicksAddict said:

Sam is standing in the goalmouth to the left. Molineaux is a fascinating ground to study. The South Bank (to the right) is one of the few end terraces to compare with the Laundry End / South End at The Valley. In the next post is the terrace as I stood on it in, after the ground had shifted to accommodate the new stand, which was built on the streets behind the original multi span roof.
