It was an attempted coup and it appears to have failed. Think from it there will be talks about changing the UCL sooner than 2024, but I think the takeaway is that the bullies of football have just discovered the little guys they are picking on have older brothers who are willing to smack them about4

Maybe Chelsea and Man City only agreed knowing it would all blow up and that they'd suffer the least backlash by getting out first.
