The blues/rock harmonica player and singer has passed away. Much troubled denizen of the pub rock and punk scene of the seventies and eighties. RIP Lew.

    But what I didn’t know was that he robbed a post office!

    In 1987 Lewis was given a seven-year jail sentence for armed robbery, after holding up a post office with a fake pistol, stealing £5,000 and trying to escape on a shopping bike.[3]

    He tried to escape on a shopping bike?! which i presume is something like a shopping trolley?

    Did a great version of Quos "Win or Lose" around 1979 = fantastic. RIP.
