    I doubt the Queen will step back, she'll go on til the bitter end, and I hope she does too, getting to 70 years on the throne

    I had an idea this news was on its way.
    He did his duty most admirably, made a few politically incorrect gaffs along the way but for a man of his age and with the ever changing ideas in political correctness that was bound to happen.

    Phillip was always my answer to the "who would you most like to have dinner with" question. Like most of his generation, a lifetime of experience, duty and change. RIP.

    not surprising, most royal european families are linked to her in some way. In ww1, the king of england, the kaiser of germany and the tsar of russia were all cousins.
