Flamengo have won back to back league titles after clinging on this evening. Anything but a win opened the door to Internacional who could sneak ahead of them.
Flamengo lost 2-1 to São Paulo. Door was officially opened.
Internacional couldn’t find a winner at home vs Corinthians despite going close multiple times and thus Flamengo retain their title.

Serious bottle jobs from Inter and Sao Paulo though.
Sao Paulo lost just 3 of their first 27 games and were title favourites, clear at that point with games in hand. Then somehow turned in relegation form and picked up just 10 points from their last 11 games. 6 more points would've been enough to win the league.
This allowed Inter to take over, they won 9 games in a row and were top with a few games left. Then picked up just 5 points from their last 5 games to blow it. Just 1 more point would've been enough to win the league.
