His Soccer at War, with its frequent mentions of Charlton is a must have book if you have an interest in CAFC history.

    The Rothmans Yearbook was an essential buy before the internet & google. Have over a dozen of them in the garage somewhere.

    I am currently going through the yearbook for 1987-88 which my missus bought me for Christmas to fill in a gap in my collection (I have every edition from 1970 up to last year, bar about six). 

    Genuinely sad to hear he has gone, as he has been part of my life for years. RIP Jack.
