Match Thread: Charlton Athletic v Ordnance
Henry Irving

Big local derby in our Kent League clash today as Ordnance make the short trip from Welling to our new enclosure between Charlton Lane and Charlton Church Lane that no one has given a name yet.
Still think we should have stayed at Pound Park.
Team news soon.

Team are as follows
Don't know where the goals are coming from with only five forwards?

Programme one penny! #Sangaardout2

Personally, I think the Comms team are really breaking new ground with these modern "programmes"
Much better than the man walking round with the team chalked on a black board on a stick.2 -
Can’t believe we moved here. It’s literally a tip. A three sided ground with a cliff down one side will never be a decent ground. We need to look outside Charlton if we are ever to progress.0

Agree about it now but if they spend some money it could be as good Dulwich Hamlet or the other big amateur teams.SporadicAddick said:Can’t believe we moved here. It’s literally a tip. Good start.
Two up.
Bloke behind me moaning we're bound to throw away the lead and why didn't he play golf instead.
Another bloke calling himself ooh aah Kingsley saying the attendance is poor.
Three nil up now5 -
I hear the peninsula has lots of promise!SporadicAddick said:Can’t believe we moved here. It’s literally a tip. A three sided ground with a cliff down one side will never be a decent ground. We need to look outside Charlton if we are ever to progress.0 -
Four nil now.
Bloke called Happy Pound Park claiming he predicted this score.7 -

This game should put Ordnance on the map.12

We want 8, we want 80
-
It's unrealistic to expect that but it is six nil now.stonemuse said:We want 8, we want 8
Unfortunately, we don't have that substitute rule here that they use on the continent so no chance of toughening up the defence to hang on in the last 15 minutes.1 -
C’mon Charlton, smash this Woolwich lot0
-
Don’t like this formation, should stick with the tried and tested flat 2-3-5.2
-
Disappointed the comms team haven't posted a single Goal GIF when we've scored 6!!!2

So, was it T. Beldham or E. Rumble?0

Sorry about the delay but the cat's whiskers radio broke. The final score was 8 - 0.We play the return fixture tomorrow.Full report to follow in the local paper in three days time.2

I hope it was Rumble, just so Brian Coles Great-Great-Grandad could announce (through a megaphone) ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE!thai malaysia addick said:So, was it T. Beldham or E. Rumble?1 -

Cuthbert Kamara, reporting for The Sky Chronicle, was very impressed
"A completely splendid performance by the home side, marred only by the behaviour of one of their supporters who called the referee a jolly rotten cad and was rightfully escorted out of the ground"6 -
Too industrial - we should look at existing grounds where there is a guaranteed crowd - Catford Southend would be a good shout, but I doubt the committee would have the foresight for that.LTKapal said:

The E Rumble looks like a good find
Ref didn't turn up for the Boxing Day game so was played out as a friendly

All well and good scoring 8 but I've lost my cloth cap now throwing it in the air so much.3

The teams were led out by 16 year old Mascot @Redmidland 😉6
