Anyone remember that free kick routine where Kinsella pretended to have an argument with the other guy who wanted to take it, walked away in disgust, then quickly turned around and the other bloke layed it off for him to shoot. That was a good one
Kinsella was brilliant at little things like that

52' 0-0 Charlton dominating possession in the early stages of the second half. #Gills struggling to get out of their own half. A pass to Adam Matthews is too heavy, out for a throw.
  • Not watching , but is it the case that Bogle definitely insisted on taking the penalty, ahead of the designated taker?
    Insisted is probably strong
It's just amateur though isn't it?
You just step aside and give the ball to your mate.
    Very poor.
    Agreed

We’re keeping the ball well. Just need to create some chances ....

This is what Maddison does, he tries stuff, 9/10 it doesn't come off. But when it does, you score.

54' 0-0 Cross from Shinnie comes off Dempsey for a corner. #Gills
  • Shinnie is just different level. Seems to find angles and space no one else can.
  • All our play and passing looks lovely ... until we try to get into the box.

We are missing Doughty's pace in this game  Our approach play is too slow
  • Maddison is just a touch too slow with his decision making... Really frustrates me with players

55' Maatsen's effort takes a heavy deflection which Bonham saves, Bogle just can't get there in time for the rebound. #gills 0 #cafc 0
  • Bogle needed to be following that shot in... Too pedestrian

We missing the Beast Inniss at corners.
  • Playing much better this half. Far more passing to feet

Bogle on his heels then. Come on lad! That's where you're needed!

54' 0-0 Maddison's cross is headed away by Jackson. Maatsen lets fly from over 20 yards, the effort takes a deflection and Jack Bonham makes another excellent save low to his right. #Gills

Yep. Derek Hales would've been on that to toe poke a scruffy goal.

It always amazes me, that whoever is on the bench is always better than the 1st 11 😀

As long as he didn’t  put a fiver on Washington to score from the spot

I'd be tempted to bring Purrington on and push Maatsen up the wing
