Listening to Charlton live last night it's sounded to me as though Bowyers not going to give it a go.
Said the boys have got a decent break after Fleetwood.
Now there's a shocker, as in recent years we've been famous for our cup exploits  :D
We'll have to lose on penalties with not currently conceding.
Yes you are right, we haven't conceded in the FA cup this year
so 100% record so far  ;)
  • Tonbridge Angels v Bradford City is currently on the BBC iPlayer and BT Sport Extra 2... Billy Clarke in the line up for the latter
  • Clarke just scored a lovely free kick
  • 0-7 to Bradford.
  • 0-7 to Bradford.
Ouch!!... I turned off at 4-0... Wonder if no crowds will see less giant killings this weekend
  • Cup run comes to an end

Whilst Ipswich and Portsmouth are both playing a further pointless 30mins!!

Gets even better regardless who wins as if its Ipswich we just play Rochdale and they have a further pointless game
  • Ipswich 2-3 Portsmouth
  • Ipswich 2-3 Portsmouth
Charlton v Ipswich on the 28th then...

Crazy game in Torquay as well.

    Torquay 2-0 up against Crawley

Crawley pull it back to 2-1 in the 83rd minute

Then 18 minute is added on by the ref(serious injury to a Crawley player earlier on)

101st Minute Crawley make it 2-2
106th Minutes Torquay make it 3-2
111th Minute Crawley make it 3-3 and it goes to extra time

Extra time gets even more crazy

102nd minute Torquay score a Penalty to go 4-3 up
107th minute Torquay score another Penalty to go 5-3 up

108th minute Crawley score to make it 5-4
113th minute Crawley make it 5-5
118th minute Crawley make it 6-5

Full time score Torquay 5-6 Crawley

Eastbourne gave Blackpool a good game for an hour. Missed two big chances in first half.

Gary Madine scored two in the second half.

2-0 Blackpool with minutes left to go
  • 11 goals in 120 minutes between Torquay and Crawley was a great cup tie.

Cray paper mills made some cash and crashed out after their 6th FA cup tie of this campaign 1-0 to Havant and Waterlooville.

Gary Madine showed he's a league 1 striker with a brace against Eastbourne borough.

Poor old Wigan, after being stitched up by new owner and EFL suffered the ultimate by going out of the FA cup 3-2 after winning the FA Cup 7 years ago against Man city.
Ben Watson scoring the goal(what ever happened to him !)

Felt bad for Eastbourne left back was stuck marking CJ Hamilton. First 20 mins was brutal. Made Purrington look stupid so the young kid had no chance.
  • Lincoln beat Forest Green Rovers 6-2, but more impressed with the quality of 3 of their goals, the 3rd one in this clip is very much like a Wenger Arsenal goal

  • Thank god we're out... I know we'd likely have had a different number but Plymouth v Lincoln in the 2nd Round!!
  • Three Non-League ties though in there (?) so good to see a couple will get through to the next round

  • Can’t be often that 5 former winners go out in round 1 (Charlton, Sunderland, Ipswich, Bolton and Wigan)
  • Thank god we're out... I know we'd likely have had a different number but Plymouth v Lincoln in the 2nd Round!!
Aren’t the numbers in draw order? As in Number 1 is the first game drawn in round 1 etc
so we would have had the same number as Plymouth and therefore been drawn home to Lincoln.

Yeah you are right, so yeah we'd have had the delight of facing Lincoln City
  • Absolutely gutted about that, what a tie
  • Pompey and Posh both have non league opposition at home, so probable that they will progress to the 3rd round

Oxford are in the 2nd round

    But its City not United
  • Three Non-League ties though in there (?) so good to see a couple will get through to the next round
Not going to be the same though.

You get through to the 3rd round and face Liverpool or United in an empty stadium.

Typical Charlton would-be cup draw, a team in the same division followed up by another team in the same division!

No guarantees we’d have beaten Lincoln, especially given we’d be putting out a similar strength side to the one that lost 2-0 at their place anyway. Will have to watch and see what the third round draw looks like.

Pleased for Marine, Havant & W, Canvey Island and Boreham Wood. Two of them more than likely guaranteed to be getting some third round TV money.
  • AFC Wimbledon are the last team into round 2.

0-0 after extra time and it went to Penalties, Barrow missed their first 2 with AFC Wimbledon scoring their first 2 and immediately put Barrow in a pressure situation.

AFC Wimbledon won the shootout 4-2
  • So the full 2nd round draw

    Stevenage v Hull
    Harrogate v Blackpool
    Tranmere v Brackley Town
    AFC Wimbledon v Crawley
    Stockport v Yeovil
    Plymouth v Lincoln
    Portsmouth v Kings Lynn
    Cheltenham v Crewe
    Peterborough v Chorley
    Morecambe v Solihull Moors
    Shrewsbury v Oxford City
    Mansfield v Dagenham & Redbridge
    Newport v Salford
    Marine v Havant and Waterlooville
    Gillingham v Exeter
    Canvey Island v Boreham Wood
    Carlisle v Doncaster
    Barnet v MK Dons
    Bristol Rovers v Darlington
    Bradford v Oldham
