Maddison's appearance isn't really relevant. His desire to get fit and to perform to the best of his ability is. Which is why I was always concerned about his postings about "cheat" nights, needing company etc etc. He has to prove that there is still substance behind the front.
LB has now given him the public "boot up the backside" and told him that he will have to work harder if he wants to get in his team. But to get match fit he has to push himself both on and off it too. He should be asking himself why Championship teams weren't banging on his door to sign him because he's actually in a worse position financially and in terms of being a fixture in the side than he would have been had he signed a new contract with Peterborough.
I hope he just gets his head down because the talent is there. But talent isn't enough.

i agree - give him a few games to get match fit and let the maverick entertain - he knows he's good enough to do the biz in this league and is obviously confident enough not to give a monkeys about conforming - that'll do for me
