So that’s the British Interests out then !!

Bad news for Murray. Stan isn't the player he was either though

Apparently Edmund pulled out with injury so isn’t in the draw. Liam Broady made it through qualifying and will find out his opponent soon.

Out of the Brits, only Norrie will be truly happy with the draw. Wawrinka and Nishikori will be very difficult to beat while Konta is liable to a shock defeat on clay against a talent like Gauff. Finally Watson match would usually be a coin flip anywhere else but you’d have to say the French woman has the advantage in Paris.

Not ideal weather in Paris, playing outdoors in October is pushing things!

Haven't really been watching much of this tbh, with it coming so soon after the US Open.

    Interesting womens final tho

Sofia Kenin who won the Australian Open in 2020 faces a 19 year old called Iga Swiatek

The mens final was a more predictable lineup with Nadal facing Djokovic on Sunday

Nadal wins his 13th French Open and now moves level with Federer on 20 grand slams.

4th time he's won the French without dropping a set.

His 5 set win-loss record on clay is now 125-2. Simply remarkable.

Swiatek was amazing. Never played in a grand slam and wins aged 19.

Djok was shockingly bad. Looked as if he didn't give a shit for most of the match.

A good BBC article on who out of the top 3 players is the "GOAT". Which doesn't really answer the question!

I've always hated this red shit they play on. Some great players have never won the French and some otherwise average players have won it a few times. Nadal is almost unbeatable on clay and will probably end up as the top major winner when they have all retired because of his dominance on clay.
Worrying for the sport that still no-one is really coming through to challenge the big three.
