Would assume Taylor needs some time to get up to speed given he spent 5 months sitting on his sofa.Callumcafc said:Bench warming this afternoon while Grabban and Ameobi Da Costa start up front.7 -

I do wish you could couch your puns in a more humorous way.1

Nothing against Forest as a club but wouldn’t it be wonderful if they went done alongside the cheating Wendies and the spanners?11

Well certainly looks like he's stuck the top of his head in the sand!!Fumbluff said:

Mate of mine sent me this.... But did happily let me know when he scored last week....
Almost like coach couch fitness plan has worked.

Just watched their highlights... Unless he was the 46 at RB, was he even playing?0
-
Tbh it’s his first game properly, I’m not going to say he’s shit because he literally got us relegated he’s a fantastic player just a spineless Cnut. The whole big boy school comments etc I just find childish for a player of his age, won’t see much of him this season but if he’s happy to play 2nd fiddle says a lot about his character the clubs in for him were Celtic, stoke and West Brom hardly the top tier that he was banging on about.5
-
Hope he enjoyed his big step up!
Dirty shit cnut.4 -
Number 33 shirt this season.Dazzler21 said:Just watched their highlights... Unless he was the 46 at RB, was he even playing?0 -
Boycotter since 2016.
I never saw The Ego kick a ball. No loss to me. Cheerio.
Derek Hales, Mike Flanagan, John Pearson, Robert Lee, Jim Melrose, Garth Crooks, Carl Leaburn, Paul Williams, Gary Nelson, Andy Hunt, David Whyte, Kevin Lisbie, Mark Bright, Clive Mendonca.
Honest endeavour for CAFC. We salute you.

On the bench.......because he's not good enough to start for them.Dazzler21 said:Just watched their highlights... Unless he was the 46 at RB, was he even playing?1 -
Surely if you have to list players of 'honest endeavour' it would include Robinson, Brown, Kinsella and Gritt to name those who come straight to mind.
We could start on new thread on that.2 -

I know we're all pissed off at him, but this simply isn't true. Of course he's good enough to start for them.golfaddick said:

The reason he didn't was because he refused to play for us and therefore was sat at home for 5 months doing nothing. He will need a few weeks to get up to speed.6 -
Was he up to speed for his last spell on the pitch for us after he came back from injury and before the lockdown ?Chris_from_Sidcup said:

His performance at home to Luton was one of the best individual displays I’ve seen from anyone in a Charlton shirt in seasons.
The blokes a coward, but we sadly can not rewrite history and downplay how good he is on his day.5 -
Is there a way to hide a thread on here? Pisses me off a little bit inside every time when i see it pop up2

@seriously_red posted yesterday that the top 6 clubs in the Championship last season were paying EVERY player 40k a week!addick1956 said:
25 k a week...wages in Championship are too stupid for words....MartinCAFC said:
But where does all this money come from?Dazzler21 said:Given Forest have been paying Jenkinson between 25k and 45k a week depending on your source I can see Lyle getting at least £25-30k there.
They don't have any parachute payment money, surely paying players that kind of money puts them at risk of FFP and a points deduction in the 2030/31 season?
I contested that.0 -
Are you surprised he came up with that nonsense?ElfsborgAddick said:

Nice try Elfs. What I actually said was that "top six Championship clubs have wage budgets of £40M+ so every player is on £2M give or take... we dont even have a player on £1M"ElfsborgAddick said:

You contested this and stated that Swansea, Cardiff and Brentford arent paying anything like that
In response it took 30 seconds to look online to reveal:
Swansea £48M
Cardiff £42M
Brentford run a very different model and closer to £20M
Only five Championship clubs are paying less than £20M
Anybody interested can look up Swiss Ramble on Twitter who regularly reports on Championship clubs. Fulham paid out £90M when in the EPL and probably paid £70M last season?
