I think Jay is the best blues/rock vocalist of recent years - stunning voice.Lincsaddick said:another Rival Sons, though this is not too dissimilar to the original Stones version https://youtu.be/hs85KtEua341 https://youtu.be/hs85KtEua341

re Rival Sons @hoof_it_up_to_benty .. we are in total agreement .. I saw them in Cambridge a couple of years back .. tremendous performance from all four of them and their 'touring' keyboard player0

Seen Rival Sons several times including the Cambridge gig you went to. They are an amazing band but have never really hit the big time - at least it means I can see them in smallish venues.Lincsaddick said:^^^^^ we are in total agreement .. They do lots of covers, some work some don’t. This one, I think, really does.0

Here's a whole album of bizarre covers. But it is by John Otway so everything is a bit weird!https://play.anghami.com/album/614789

That version is absolutely truly bloody awful. There is absolutely no emotion in it.BassAddick said:
This is right up there in the "How to ruin a truly classic song by covering it with a (usually female) insipid vocal that adds absolutely nothing to the song" stakes. The fact it's such a great song is the only reason for anyone to listen to it, so even Susan Fucking Boil can't completely ruin it. Although she gives it a bloody good go.
As you can tell, I'm on the fence with this one.1

This definitely fits into the "bizarre" category because apparently, so I'm told, there's a guitar in there somewhere!0

Not overly keen on this version ( I missed the girl talking :-) think she was someone famous but can't remember now) but a fantastic reminder of the Orb. Can't believe it's 30 years old.killerandflash said:I love this cover of the ambient classic Little Fluffy Clouds played on classical instruments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwcmVjg_ZEA1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwcmVjg_ZEA1

Like Mariah Carey's version of "Without You". A tragic song about loss and heartbreak, and she sings it with a smile on her face. Talentless bimbo.Off_it said:
