See that Lyle, Pedro just allowed himself to get injured despite it having potential to put his move to Roma off.0

 Can't see them doing anything different.MattF said:0

I wonder if Lyles already signed, or just waiting to see who wins out of Brentford or Fulham, he’s desperate to play in the premier league, even if it’s for 1 season.
I think we should move on and close the thread, even if he’s done the dirty on us, he’s not the first and won’t be the last.0

Or Brentford won’t announce it while they are still playing this season ?Mendonca In Asdas said:I wonder if Lyles already signed, or just waiting to see who wins out of Brentford or Fulham, he’s desperate to play in the premier league, even if it’s for 1 season.0

He may have played his cards wrong, the worst time to enter the free agent market since the Bosman ruling 30 years ago. He’ll get a deal, maybe at a decent club, but it’ll be significantly less than he thought he’d get a few months ago when he Judas’d us.8

And he might possibly have got a better deal playing after the restart and playing well than by refusing to play.se9addick said:He may have played his cards wrong, the worst time to enter the free agent market since the Bosman ruling 30 years ago. Which would be depressing all round really.0

If it is Brentford, that’s actually very naughty as we still had to play them post-lockdown and surely that’s dodgy legal ground???billysboots said:

I guess the flip side of that coin is we played them after his contract had officially expired.RedRyan said:

I think the ship has sailed with Brentford. Especially if you believe reports they're on the verge of signing Toney from Peterborough.0

Agreed. I think Brentford saw Taylor as some quick temporary assistance around the first time of looking to buy, he was never seen as a forward to build a team around or be the main guy (and his ego needs to be number one). For that reason, very much doubt they’re looking at him now.Chris_from_Sidcup said:I think the ship has sailed with Brentford. Well Brentford didn't do too bad without him, managed to score a few goals too.0

When he refused to play, I thought he had some secret pre-contract agreement sorted out that couldn't be publicised because the other club's approach would have been outside the rules. I was thinking probably a non-English club; perhaps Rangers or Galatasaray or some similar big fish/small pond type outfit. Perhaps he did, but the longer it goes without an announcement the less likely it looks, unless they are playing a very careful cover-up game. Without such an agreement, it looks very much like he's played his cards wrong. Nobody wants a coward or a turncoat leading their line, or even warming their subs bench.se9addick said:He may have played his cards wrong, the worst time to enter the free agent market since the Bosman ruling 30 years ago. He injured himself.
He's now the complete opposite of match fit.
Hasn't played a game since early march and we're now in August!
Next most likely game he will be involved in might be very late this year. Could be later.
 F*cked Charlton and f*cked himself.
Will probably pick up an injury as soon as he returns.
 Karma. Shit for everyone.

He will suit NFFC.....Taylor's a bottler just like NFFC bottled out the last game of the season....FFS 1-4 at homesirjohnhumphrey said:
I can’t work out from Josh’s second post whether Taylor would or wouldn’t refuse to play.paulie8290 said:So I thought I would type his name into twitter to see if there were any rumours and I saw 2 forest fans arguing about him, this one made me laugh acting like forest are a massive club, I love when he says he wouldn't dare refuse to play for them 🤣🤣

Posted this on the SPL thread. My view in Taylor playing for the old firm.Big difference in class between Edouard and Taylor. Plus Edouard to the best of my knowledge isn’t a git. Morellos is a weapons grade git but a different player to Taylor and, despite his gitness, I Suspect a class above too. Taylor playing for the old firm would be an interesting concept. He would get kicked shitless which would be one small consolation I suppose.3

 To be honest, I don't.
It will simply just mean that we got relegated all for bloody nothing!
There wasn't even any sort of justifiable reason....at all. In any kind of way. Anything that was even remotely understandable and I'm being kind just by saying that.
It was literally just nothing. Not even related to any kind of futuristic plan.
He only wants his signature on that contract. Now seems and sounds likely he will need a very good experienced agent in order to still get a good deal.
I don't think he cares whether or not he is actually on a football pitch. I don't think he cares who he signs for. It's just the £££ and the future sky sports presenter possibility.
 That's the sad part.
Bowyer got the best out of him. He actually turned him into something.
Without bowyer, no one would even know who Lyle Taylor was.
He wouldn't be calling talksport and or anything else similar.

Did he get paid his last months wages after refusing to play ?0

Yeah it’s weird that nothing has been announced, don’t think it’s either Glasgow team as the season started this weekend (although if Morelos or Edouard are sold that could change things).Stig said:

Personally, I think he's a Cnut who's got a chronic case of bipolar. Great to have on the pitch, but I d probably want to knock his block off away from it.1
-
The Scottish season has already started so he might have missed the boat1
-
Not much of a boat to miss though.1
