Did he play yesterday in the Fulham match?0 -
the way he's been going about this i wouldn't be surprised if one of our own players tried to snap him in half.Big_Bad_World said:Can't believe nobody wants him to play so an oppo player can snap him in half.
You're, mostly, far too forgiving.12 -

IF he is back, fit and willing, he MUST play .. I doubt very much that the rest of the squad will hold the recent upsets against him .. if there is any resentment, that will be up to Bowyer to manage4

After Taylor scores the winning goal, the cardboard cut outs sing "one Lyle Taylor".Lincsaddick said:IF he is back, fit and willing, he MUST play .. Never been one to cut my nose off to spite my face etc so if taylor has u turned then play him - if he plays half hearted then hook him off straight away - I think no differently towards taylor than I do silly or Davies - if they refuse to play they can all fuck off and will never be welcome back - if taylor plays the full 9 games and puts it in, he is forgiven in my book - we all make mistakes5
-
Don’t want Taylor anywhere near the place now. He’s made his bed. We are bigger than that. Point of principle. If we go down we go down but I’d rather not sell our soul taking him back.7
-
Sell our soul? He’s a mercenary and we need to use him for our own means and then fuck him off1
-
Selling our soul. How very dramatic.Sillybilly said:Don’t want Taylor anywhere near the place now. He’s made his bed. We are bigger than that. Point of principle. If we go down we go down but I’d rather not sell our soul taking him back.2 -
I understand this sentiment .. to a certain extent .. it takes a man to stick to his principles, then again it takes a bigger man to sometimes admit his mistake and have a change of heart .. we'll never know what is the real truth and motive behind Taylor's reported UTurn, I'd like to think he has seen that he was wrong and is making amends.Sillybilly said:Don’t want Taylor anywhere near the place now. As has been said above, if he starts and shows, shall we say, less than 100% commitment then he should be pulled .. as ever, we will see

I think he will play vs Hull and score0
-
I can forgive anybody who admits their mistakes. Can't for one minute see Taylor doing that though. I hope i'm wrong1
-
Only one? I think he owes us at least two for all the trouble that he's caused on this forum!CH4RLTON said:I think he will play vs Hull and score6 -
Can't he sign a contract with his new club now? If he then get injured are July wages onwards down to new club not us???0

And what club do you think would sign him up and then let him continue playing for us.HardyAddick said:Can't he sign a contract with his new club now? If he then get injured are July wages onwards down to new club not us???1 -
A club that really wants him and does not want another club to get him. Why do Prem clubs loan out players- always risk they get injured.0

Prem clubs tend to loan out younger players to gain experience.HardyAddick said:A club that really wants him and does not want another club to get him. Why do Prem clubs loan out players- always risk they get injured.
Or senior players coming back from injury to get match fit.
Whoever signs Taylor will in all probability want him straight in the team.
Can't see it happening myself.0 -
So, are we assuming Nixon has got it right now? Also that Taylor is signalling he is available for all remaining games and not just through to 30 June?0
-
Play him for sure, I'd rather him play and help us stay up.. than try take the moral high ground, him not play and get relegated by 1 point.2
-
He won't be going straight into any team until the 20/21 season starts, which won't be until late August at the earliestblackpool72 said:

Of course play him .3

Everyone is commenting as if Nixon has it right this time. Has it been confirmed by either Taylor or the club?robinofottershaw said:So, are we assuming Nixon has got it right now? Also that Taylor is signalliing he is available for all remaining games and not just through to 30 June?0 -
@robinofottershaw three different scenarios here and all three have been aired on this forum the last couple days.robinofottershaw said:So, are we assuming Nixon has got it right now? Also that Taylor is signalling he is available for all remaining games and not just through to 30 June?
1: Infamous Sun “journalist” Alan Nixon says Lyle’s done a u-turn suggesting he will play out the season
2: Lyle himself tells a fan on Instagram that Nixon’s story is not true
3: @Redhenry comes on a day or two later and says Lyle will play three games in June but not sign the extension to play in July

The fact that he won't have to face abuse from fans at the matches will probably make a u turn for him that bit easier. Not sure he'd make a u turn if he had to face 15,000 to 20,000 odd fans2
