    From the above:

In the document we follow the qualification requirements as outlined by Martin Westby in his England’s Oldest Football Club’s 1815-1889: A New chronological classification of early football published last year.

Maybe they should have checked here first.
And checked their grammar while they were at it.

A very thorough debunking of the spurious claims by Palace.

A case study in putting wish fulfilment over facts by the Glaziers.

Yeah, but what do they have to say about Charlton winning the World Cup?
  • To be fair, much of their ground looks like it was erected in the 1700's and has been untouched ever since.
  • Pathetic really.
  • They celebrated their centenary in 2005, the same year as we celebrated ours.
As they had spent the first 60 odd years farting around in Division 3 and 4 their dvd must have been riveting.
Now they are trying to cast doubt that they got the date right. Plums
    Late comers.

  • 160 years and won nothing
  • "Proudly London for over 150 years" :D:D:D Well that's bollocks for a start you surrey arseholes

"We are the eagles blah blah blah with a rich history" Erm you were the Glaziers for most of your unremarkable history in the Fourth Division. You then decided to wear the Barcelona kit & adopt the nickname of Benfica. A rich history indeed.

I would rather drink my own piss than drink what is in all likelihood some cheap swill that Sainsburys rejected.

Actually I would rather drink anyone's piss than drink anything out of that bottle
Are you therefore taking the piss🤓
  • So, they claim they are South London and that's bollocks...
Always think of Palace as the team that play at Thornton Heath, Surrey.

They eventually merged into the County borough of Croydon before belatedly transitioning to the London borough of Croydon in 1965. Given their heritage they just don't count  :|
  • What in the DBS is this?
  • Imagine how much prouder the Nigels must be stretching their history of... er winning nothing and being best remembered for Eric Cantona... over a thousand years rather than just 118
  • Do they have a museum with items from 1861?

The so called Whisky is blended.
Said to be made from fresh Thames water with hints of nicotine, plastic and MacDonalds, leading to a rasping aftertaste.
  • Thanks for that Seth, I'll order a case now.

Water from the river Wandle, which runs through Croydon, can’t be Thames water, as they’re not in London

I thought more a hint of bullshit in the bouquet.
  • Do they have any normal fans who are embarrassed by this 150 year nonsense?

Yeah I seem to remember a bit of backlash when they first announced it.

Some of their own historians have said it is nonsense but the club carry on regardless because they desperately want to market themselves off another club's history rather than their own.

Not as if we go on about our club being founded in 1858 other than one article in the programme last April.

Palace, Liverpool and Chelsea - all franchises created to use an existing stadium.
