Bizarre that we deemed him not good enough at 12, yet just 3 years later he was playing league football and within 5 years playing in the premier league for Liverpool.
You'd assume he must've been pretty good at 12.1 -
We cant keep them all though can we... Your hear plenty of cases that when a youngster is let go its sometimes a kick up the arse they need - They then go to a lower club and knuckle down0

I understand that but my point is that if he was good enough to be playing league football at the age of 15 you'd assume he must've shown some promise at 12. There can't be too many kids playing in the league at 15.
It's not as if he disappeared off into non league and worked his way back in his mid 20s.0 -

He was only with us for one season then was released, not really given much of a chance, but the person making the decisions at the time didn't like him. That's football.

He was 12, there are so many things that happen to kids between 12 and 15, there are all sorts of reasons. including predicted growth, maturity, sociability. We really should not be worrying about kids not making the grade at 12. Next thing you know we'll be worried that we did not spot potential of a fetus conceived in SE7.0

The Premier League player Jordon Ibe will face trial for allegedly driving away after crashing his Bentley into a coffee shop this summer.
The Bournemouth midfielder, 23, is accused of driving off after ploughing into The Pantry on Plaistow Lane in Bromley, south-east London, in the early hours of 30 July.

A Premier League footballer who crashed his Bentley into a coffee shop has been fined £7,500 and banned from driving for 16 months.

In Finland certain fines are “means tested” and I wonder if this would be an idea over here. It’s unlikely £7.5k is much of a deterrent for the situation. The shops may well get their money through insurance but their premiums will no doubt rise!eaststandmike said:

The shops insurance will claim back from his insurers.....therefore the shop owners future premiums should not be affected.Swisdom said:

Bournemouth winger Ibe has apologised and sought help after being stopped by police while driving without a licence.

You have to laugh - driving without a licence and then fleeing the scene of the offence has got nothing to do with mental health. How do you know Jordan Ibe does not have mental health issues that led him to act in the way he has? Mental Health issues can manifest themselves in many different ways, and it's quiet insulting to instantly dismiss someone based off your own prejudices.ricky_otto said:

This. People throwing round the old mental health card as an excuse for their bad behaviour. Bloke was pissed out of his head, done a runner and got caught. Do we know if attending rehab was part of his sentence? Bet his lawyer put it on the table for a softer sentence.ricky_otto said:
