I started a thread in this before seeing this one, I was much more upbeat.

Quality defensive midfielder played full internationals for Wales and so Jonny Williams must also rate him.

Not proven at this level but look forward to seeing him out himself about.

    Welcome Matt and good luck.
  • Glad he got his own thread. Hope he can do what he’s been brought in to do.

I’d guess Man City have quite good kids coming through their academy; let’s hope this is one of them.

Well we wont be getting anymore loans, will put money on it (If I had any)
  • So it has taken us to this stage of the window to bring in a player that could only manage 8 games for QPR.

Anyway, Gallagher turned out decent so possibly Smith can too.

Is money a  problem for ESI?

  • Welcome Matt I like what you said ' fighting for a chance to play '
I like players with something to prove.

Hopefully your energy and technical ability contributes to cafc moving up the league.

    So three loans to date.

    Preston cast off
    Sunderland cast off
    QPR cast off

    No money spent.

Genuinely believe if Gallen had been in charge we would have got better.

No we signed him around mid day today, had to wait for him to be recalled to complete the deal.

Ah soz, thought you were pointing out we'd continue to go after loans this window

Replacement for Gallagher I would have thought. Box to box energy.

Welcome Matt. Hope you knock em dead.

Glad to see we’re finally getting a few more Matts around the place.

More a replacement for Kayal surely? Gallagher was a creative, goalscoring midfielder

Good. Bowyer said he wanted bodies in, and we've got in a player with potential who can cover the loss of one of the midfielders we lost this window. I don't know if he'll be first team as McGeady's signing might mean Williams plays a deeper role with Cullen and Field or Pratley behind them. Oztumer's back as well, and if Smith is fit then he'll offer more than Kayal was able to. More players, more rotation, fewer injuries, more chance of staying up
