100% Lockyer's fault.

If there wasn't a call from a fellow team mate...then he has to stick with player.

Quite simple really.

He naively tried to do 2 things at once and got punished.

Dave21 .I agree on the Lockyers fault comment .They will analyse that incident over and over as it is basic coaching/defending.

If I were coaching a junior/scoolboy team I would show that clip over and over to attacking players to show the value of "unselfish running."

The west brom player that made the run out wide gave the goalscorer the space to cut inside.Without that run the goal couldnt have been scored.

As professional defenders they should between them have been better organised but what a finish!

West broms 2nd goal was some shocking defending from our lot.

Always close down an area and angle like that.

Probably wouldn't have resulted in a goal if he felt pressured and no time to place a shot

Upon watching the replay from behind the goal, better communication required between Solly and Lockyer there.

Both players got dragged wide by the overlap which allowed Robson-Kanu to cut inside and shoot. Lockyer should've stood his ground and Solly cut off the ball down the line but Lockyer had no idea Solly was there.

Can only imagine that Solly didnt want to move as needed to be prepared to move out wide if Robson-Kanu had passed to his left

Although we didn't start well & played crap for 35 mins, on another day Cullens shot would have gone in via the back of the keepers head & Bonne's shot would have ripped the net out. Still think Sarr was fouled for their winner (definitely wod have been ruled out if it had been Bonne at their end) as the ref was a homer.

Very soft penalty....again ! Not seen our shout for one in the 2nd half (on Lockyer). Anyone got relays of that one..?

I still don’t think that was a penalty. It’s hard to knock a player off the ball who doesn’t want to
be knocked over - look how hard their guy tries to foul Doughty on the build up to our goal. Because Doughty didn’t want to go over, he didn’t and that led to the goal. I’m not sure we would have scored from a freekick over on the left wing had Doughty gone down.

With the penalty their guy had overrun it any way. Nearly as shocking as the West Brom penalty last night.

Just when you need VAR its not there. Retrospective ban for the WBA player would be a just punishment

Looking at that it seems we were 3rd in a 2 horse race. When we are at home teams attack us from the off......Sheff W were a case in point. Against a Boro side that had been thumped 4-0 in midweek & are the lowest scorers in the division we should have been at them from the get go. Instead we let them score within a minute & then do bugger all to get back into the game.
