Personally will always most associate him with Marvin the Paranoid Android, one my favourite fictional characters.

It's ironic that the phrase I always associate with him is "Life. Don't talk to me about life." which is not really appropriate as a tribute in an RIP thread really. Might have to dig out the Hitchhikers DVD this evening.
