Kayal and Hemed

Thought getting Hemed could be big for us but Kayal is beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. These two together will be massive for us - we keep saying we will surprise a lot of teams but at this point, is it even going to be a surprise any more?

Both seem really nice lads and they will fit in well.
Really looking forward to seeing all our new signings play. What a window.

Well said AFKA0

Brilliant vid. Who'd have thought Lee Bowyer would spearhead peace in the Middle East?11

A really good piece from BT. Thanks for posting, @Callumcafc.
They both seem very good characters and professionals and, as well as their footballing ability, they should bring a lot of nous and high level experience to the squad. We've gone from a skeletal squad at Blackburn on 3rd August to a decently stocked one with the additions of Cullen, Leko, Field, Kayal, Oztumer and Hemed. Given our budget, it's beyond all reasonable expectations.4 -
It’s actually very exciting. Rather than fearing the drop....dare we dream....6

Wonder if we'll now get a lot of coverage in the Israeli media?0

So glad I splashed the cash on us getting promoted at 66/1 before our splendid window
But still feel it should have been 660/1
But dare to dream
In Bowyer and his team anything is possible
Leicester???!!1 -
Odds now dropped to 20/1
Coyr
We can do this with the talent we acquired this window0 -
Both came off the bench in Israel’s 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.0

North Macedonia?1

"On 12 June 2018, an agreement[4] was reached between Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev,[5]whereby the name "Republic of North Macedonia" would be adopted.[6][7] A referendum was held in Macedonia on 30 September 2018, with voters overwhelmingly affirming support for EU and NATO membership by accepting the agreement, albeit with 37% voter turnout.[8] After the agreement was ratified by both sides, it entered into force from 12 February 2019."

Well there you go. 6.30am and I've already learned something today!1

The place that was The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. They wanted to be just Macedonia but Greece has a claim to that name, too, so objected. Do both Greece and North Macedonia have claim to Macedonia's greatest son, Alexander the Great?0

37% turnout. I hope no-one tells vote Remain otherwise they will be saying it wasn't fair & that the majority didn't back it.Stu_of_Kunming said:"On 12 June 2018, an agreement[4] was reached between Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev,[5]whereby the name "Republic of North Macedonia" would be adopted.[6][7] A referendum was held in Macedonia on 30 September 2018, with voters overwhelmingly affirming support for EU and NATO membership by accepting the agreement, albeit with 37% voter turnout.[8] After the agreement was ratified by both sides, it entered into force from 12 February 2019."

So Kayal getting minutes for Israel before he's played for us!Callumcafc said:Both came off the bench in Israel’s 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.2 -

National Teams are usually less cautious with players than club sides
Just look at the arguments teams have had with the FA over English players
Guess other associations are even less co-operative0 -
Kayal came on 60 minute and looked sharp and fit. He may start against Slovenia. Hemed joined him on 75 minute but didn't have much impact1

Quite handy if the international games are getting Kayal match fit. Not that we've exactly missed him!Desert Red said:Kayal came on 60 minute and looked sharp and fit. He may start against Slovenia. Hemed joined him on 75 minute but didn't have much impact3 -
Thought Hemed was extremely slow when chasing a ball down the line near the end of Saturday's match. Unfortunately reminded me of Leon Clark's home debut v Brentford in 2011/12.0

Hemed looked committed and all action against Brentford.bolloxbolder said:Thought Hemed was extremely slow when chasing a ball down the line near the end of Saturday's match. Unfortunately reminded me of Leon Clark's home debut v Brentford in 2011/12.
Nothing like Leon Clark.9 -
Kayal will surely now be ready after the international break. He also had 75 mins in the behind closed doors game0
-
Had we had a game this Saturday instead of the international break, Kayal would’ve been in the squad so doesn’t make much difference, so long as he comes back injury free we all benefit.
Similar to Hemed, for Israel he would be training far more intensively and playing some part of games. If he wasn’t away with them, he’d probably be having a few days off before coming back to train fully next week. For example, Lapslie has gone away for a few days so the players not involved are having some down time before the hard work begins again.1
