We are gonna get spanked week in week out with this current squad.
Bit extreme, I don't think whoever we have we will be getting spanked week in week out. In Bowyer we trust, surely if he wasn't confident he could get a good enough squad to beat relegation he would have walked.

That was before he said that agents were laughing at him.

LB is clearly frustrated and his optimistic sound bites are becoming fewer and fewer. Nevertheless, I think he’ll see it through, partly because he’s a determined little bugger who is completely focussed on the challenge and partly because he has a free throw because everyone and his dog knows the constraints he’s operating under. He may well make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear yet again but if he doesn’t he’s pretty blameless.

This team is so short of quality I’m not sure people fully understand. We will get properly beaten week in week out if things don’t drastically change.

Doesn’t feel like a New Signing that gets the numbers up if it is him as he’s been training with us and playing in the team anyway. We need 5 or 6 brand new additions to the current staff urgently.

As the easiest to get over the line that one would reiterate that we are struggling mightily to bring in any kind of serious championship level signing
Where do you feel we need 5 or 6 in addition to Harriott?

To give us 2 players in each position I make it we need 3 midfielders and 2 strikers.

Not sure if Harriott may get deployed as an emergency striker in the short term but I'd say 4 in addition to Harriott should be enough for 2 in each position.

I think we need 3 CMs and 2 strikers on loan, which will allow Morgan to go out on loan. Ideally 4 and let Lapslie go too.

As there is noting transfer related going on, we could just finish the sentence for him....

That was the point. So many people come on here saying...."my mate told me this..." and it's all bollox.....mostly rehashed Chinese whispers from on here in the first place.

About the only person on here with any inside knowledge is Redhenry

Given Dijksteel did not feature against Villa I imagine he has had his head turned. Expect him to be gone by next week.

I heard there is a "behind closed doors proper game today"
Perhaps we will get an announcement afterwards.

He did feature... Despite it being Chris Solly's testimonial and as such didn't really have a place in the team.

Dijksteel did feature against Villa ...... as a late sub for Solly.

Given it was Solly's big day testimonial game , it's not unreasonable for him to take precedent in his own position.

Looks like our posts crossed, Dazzler.

  • If Dijksteel goes then what next?
  • I would sacrifice Dijksteel if we could get a forward in I think we are going to struggle with out a partner for Taylor.that has to be the priority for me.who Middlesbrough got off a swap deal.is Assombalonga still out of favour probably wages be a problem I guess though
He's their main striker isn't he? Plays almost every game.

No way they'd swap him for a full back they could probably sign for 2m.

I think the only way we will sign anyone whose name we recognise will be if the likes of Whelan or Jedinak find themselves stuck and desperate ten minutes before the deadline. Otherwise it will be kids from teams managed by Bowyers mates. It worked last year........

Thought they were trying to loan him out and that’s why we couldn’t he Elsa in from Bristol city last season.might be wrong mixing him up with someone else
Nah thats how I understood it in January to

Think we should bide our time with Dijksteel. Tottenham might come in with a better deal and offer us Kane.

I've had to lol this because although Redhenry is extremely knowledgable and provides us with consistent accurate pieces of information, there are others on here that genuinely are given information from people who they trust.

As I said the other day, it is comments like this that deter people from posting something they know or have been told. Other than those invested in the deal, such as the player, agent, Gallen, Bowyer, and the potential club they are at currently, no one can control whether it happens or not. But some people seem to call out or dig at those who pass on genuine information when a deal seemingly falls through.

What level are you at re transfers?

Super chilled - 1 or 2 in before the weekend, a few more loans next week, it will be all right, don’t panic!

A bit concerned- Would have liked a few more in the door by now, will be starting to worry if there’s no signings announced by the weekend.

Absolutely bricking it - Nailed on Forbes relegation, what is going on?

We’re’re at defcon 5 already, and I’m going to have a meltdown soon if we don’t get players in before the weekend.

When’s the cut off for when we can register a new player for the Blackburn game? Isn’t it 48 hours before, or have I completely made that up?

The only player who might sign before Blackburn is Harriott. The midfield in particular will get boosted but could get torn apart Saturday.

To be honest, we are better off getting beat by a large margin at Blackburn, would then give Bowyer a chance to say "there you go, give us some loans monet ect". Then again we could win and then Roland will say thats your lot!

We could get beaten 12-0 and he would hardly notice.
