We just haven't got the bowlers. We are capable of getting a couple of early wickets and that is that. 2nd string bowlers are rubbish. How many no balls have we given away FFS. Must be at least 10-15? Australia are going to cruise to a win today.
    None.
    I meant no balls.
    Yeah. Still none.

Did you mean wides? If so, 10.

Bairstow and Roy can honestly sit around for the first 10 and play themselves in.

Would be more than happy with 40 without loss from P1
  • Decent comeback from Australia after being 14-3 and 118-5, but think we'd have taken that at the start.

If we can't chase 224 with out batting lineup then we deserve to go home.

Is that not the best ever run out? Fantastic play, well done England. Now just to knock off those runs.

Fully expect us to make hard work of this.

    Hope I'm wrong.

yeah sorry I meant wides.  Was it 10 in the end? It seemed a lot more.
Fingers crossed we don't see a batting collapse now.

Aussies have not lost  a semi before.
    Hopefully that will change today.

Bit concerned with Roy's hamstring though...

It all depends on the start really

2 early wickets then the Aussies will be all over us and the pressure might be too much. A nice quiet start is what we need, deflate their bowlers and just pick off the singles and punish the bad balls rather than being in "hit everything" mode

Need to be 100 for the loss of one or maximum two after 20 then I’ll start feeling a bit more confident.

Only one side has batted on this pitch so far.

Starc wouldn't get in any team I captained.  Not with those black socks.

Lovely drive by Roy off Starc there. Great use of the wrists; proper head positioning too. Love it.

    Yes and no.

Hitting the bad ball but good defence after 6 overs.

Good to see Roy having a good look at Lyon before going after him.

It is amazing how Roy changes the whole dynamic of the team.

Definitely one of the most valuable players this WC.

I know modern white ball players have to run faster, but bizarre the number of muscle injuries batsmen suffer these days
