Is Evergreen shipping containers Chinese? I worked on a refit their offices up next to Euston BR Station, they got a few bob0

Doubt shipping containers stay green given salt water they endure.1

Evergreen are Taiwanese. To President Xi that's Chinese, but Taiwanese to mei_b_b_o_r_g said:Is Evergreen shipping containers Chinese? I worked on a refit their offices up next to Euston BR Station, they got a few bob

Come say that in my office, you won't like the response you get, same for HK.killerandflash said:

Sensitive bunch, haha.0 -
Not good timing for Chinese investors.
Government highly sensitive about capital outflow, long running trade war with the USA unresolved, worrying macro-economic forecasts and large scale protests in Hong Kong.
Not to mention Brexit.0 -
Who in their right mind would go into this now?
Roland has done a perfect job of deterring any potential buyers with just how torturous negotiations look, and just how utterly mad he comes across.
If I was a non-supported looking to buy a football club, I would be crossing Charlton off my list.1 -
Has anyone considered that the deal may have actually been done and an embargo on announcing it? That new owners may be providing an improved player budget to LB. That it’s not being announced as any player costs are likely to double if the selling club think new money is there! Maybe a “glass half full” thought but not impossible...3

That was handy with Peppers builders merchants just round the corner.happyvalley said:1859, The Red House, Bexleyheath is built by Phillip Webb for William Morris.7 -
@cafc-west Where is there any evidence of that0

There is none.....just another suggested bizarre scenario.Chunes said:@cafc-west Where is there any evidence of that
cafc-west has done what many of us have done over the last couple of years and thrown in a highly unlikely curve ball just to kick the day off in such a way that it will no doubt continue.

Only speculation based on the LB contract change of mind, the fact we seem to be spending money on players and offering Purrington a 3 year contract.Chunes said:@cafc-west Where is there any evidence of that3 -
The 3 year contract and paying money for Purrington suggests to me things are going on in the background.
This goes against what the owner has allowed in the past 12 months?6 -
He's always sanctioned transfers and contracts when there's been talk of a takeover. He knows the show must go on in case talks fall through.1

It may be that Purrington agreed a lower wage by getting an extra year.ElfsborgAddick said:The 3 year contract and paying money for Purrington suggests to me things are going on in the background.

I don’t see Purrington’s move as having anything to do with a takeover.

Think someone (Reams) on the other forum said that it was Monday, and have already met RD in Belgium.JamesSeed said:

I'm sure there was a rumour a year ago that a Chinese consortium was being shown around the training ground. It's probably in this thread somewhere.1

You’re going to have to be very creative when we look into the future for pages 2020 and beyond happyvalley. I hope you’re getting prepped already.happyvalley said:1860, Cray Wanderers formed.0 -

Have a look at the Derek Hales goal of the season. He starts off in the right back position (for some reason) and ends up getting a cross in from the left wing!Showmetheway2gohome said:Well if there showing Chinese round the ground I hope paddy’s got the field looking good.oh shit I think I might of said something racist again
.Don't think paddy’s our grounds man anymore though is he. He was a good player though wouldn’t fit into bowyers diamond.I don’t think he ever strayed 5 yards from the touch line.5 -

A championship Club paying £200k, £300k for players is not even par for the course...ElfsborgAddick said:The 3 year contract and paying money for Purrington suggests to me things are going on in the background.

Duchatelet has also lost out before for caving in to a quick buck, being too quick to sell players, and for not having players on better contracts...0
