I thought I read he signed a new deal last season, which had a £200K release clause.Redrobo said:
Wikipedia shows he is out of contract. He may of course have signed an extension and Wikipedia is just out of date.CH4RLTON said:I had heard that we beem looking at an unkown Zimbabwean kid; but this one loan from Leicester:-
Deal agreed just waiting on timing
Admiral Muskwe
Add Eaves and that’s our four.
Leaves a lot on Taylor’s shoulders.0 -
But he could be another Jamie Vardy :-)hoof_it_up_to_benty said:
He's been playing in the National League not L2 so it's a massive leap - could be another Stewart Fleetwood.killerandflash said:Gallen's track record is excellent so I'm happy with this if he rates the player.
I'd be worried if he was to go straight into the starting 11, and I doubt the player expects to anyway but as a squad player it's a relatively cheap punt
It's the sort of deal which doesn't really rely on Bowyer (or Gallen staying) any local player would leap at the chance of moving from L2 to the Championship, whoever the manager was0 -
I thought the exact same.Moo said:
I wonder if the pics where taken last week as LB is in them. Hopefully some more on the way this week.roseandcrown said:

A striker who can score a reasonable amount of goals will always be in demand.ShootersHillGuru said:Four years is a very long contract though in this day and age. If he turns out to be a dud and I’m not suggesting he will then you can be stuck with a player who is just a drain on resources. I would have thought 2 years would have been more realistic. I’m confident that the coaching staff would be able to establish if he’s got what it takes within a year.0 -
As an aside, the pitch is looking in good condition in those pictures, the grass has grown back well0

In Gallen we trust , two years monitoring , photo fills me with a little hope.5

I think they’d make an excellent tag team.2

Providing the player hadn't asked for a transfer.Showmetheway2gohome said:Used to be at least 10% if transfer fee for signing on fee

A very welcome signing, although a massive step up9

All round his for the party, you mean?PaddyP17 said:From what I've seen of him, which admittedly doesn't extend far beyond the obligatory YouTube highlight videos, he looks like a good finisher who does well to get in the right positions.
Granted, the defensive nous in the Championship will be a big step up for him, and whether his movement (which I couldn't find much of, due to the nature of the clips in goal compilations) can be coached up to scratch, is a different question.
However, he's definitely worth more than £200k. You don't score 20+ goals in a season, even at National League level, without having a few assets about you. Macauley's look to be pace, a decent right peg, and good instinctual movements to find goalscoring positions in the box.
He strikes me as the sort of player who could complement Taylor's athleticism and hard running with good in-the-box movement to keep defenders occupied. But he's not old, and this is a big step up.
Huge punt - assuming this is 100% happening - but exactly the right sort of punt. Let's hope he's more Jamie Vardy than Chris Dickson.0 -
This guy knows his stuff then.Charlton_Stu said:2 -
Just because they can doesn't mean they will want to.clive said:0 -
All he needs to do is blonde the top of his hair and twin strikersValley11 said:'Done deal' according to Talksport, who then clearly crib Cawley's story

Perhaps we'll eclipse all the others with Bonne Taylor up front?0

There will be plenty to see, ie all those who want to leave including Taylor.Redvalleyeast said:May as well close this thread now. Nothing more to see here sadly.1 -
More good news here BREAKING NEWS: After it has been announced that Bowyer is leaving, close sources have confirmed that Lyle Taylor is set to hand in a transfer request. Roland should be ashamed for ruining such a great club! #cafc0

Where's that from?Moo said:More good news here BREAKING NEWS: After it has been announced that Bowyer is leaving, close sources have confirmed that Lyle Taylor is set to hand in a transfer request. Roland should be ashamed for ruining such a great club! #cafc1 -

I thought Bonne was an appeasement signing for Aribo leaving
didn't realise if was part of the shit sandwich including Lee Bowyer0 -
That tweet is from one of the fake/parody journalist accounts.0

No manager but least we have signed a non-league striker and they are still continuing to plan for next season with no one to take charge of the team. Next season is all set to be a cracker0
-
Players have been signed without Bowyers approval. I don't know who the players are though.3

Is Driesen involved? Sounds like Bowyer's position has been undermined by someone for some reason. Any guesses?!0
