What was Bolton's punishment for not being able to fulfil one of their league fixtures last season?
Can't see that there was one specifically although it may have been taken into account with the 12 point deduction they will have to start next season with for going into administration. However there were no promotion / play off / relegation issues at stake, Brentford were awarded 3 points and a 1-0 victory.

KA's accountant finally paid the 5 figure sum he owed our company over the weekend, which KA then tried recalling but it was too late lol.

The guy is a complete scumbag.

Give the EFL a chance, it's only been a month. They have a huge backlog including their investigation into Duchatelet reneging on staff bonuses.

Last I heard it was  being "considered" & any points deduction would be it addition to the 12 point penalty already received. I'm expecting the EFL will sweep it under the carpet.& will come up with the old West Ham.bollox of it not being fair on their fans.

I'm sure Bolton will be punished severely for it. There's little worse in football than not fulfilling a fixture, imagine if the game had really mattered, the chaos it would have caused.

If Brentford had needed the 3 points and a 2 goal GD swing to stay up, what then?

Definitely needs to be a harsh punishment for not fulfilling a fixture, the League would fall apart if that started to happen on a more regular basis.

Still dont understand why they couldn’t just pick youth players

Doubt they would have played either as it was a player strike.

Yeah fine the owner for not paying his players and so forcing them into the action they felt they had to take

Cant be difficult to make all new owners sign a Contract with the EFL that forces them to pay wages (to everyone, players and club staff) every month unless they can provide damned good proof for a reason to be unable to

Certainly not fair that the players or fans have to deal with extra points deductions when its not their fault!!

In reality I don’t see how the EFL can start looking a different penalties depending on the reasoning for the unfulfilled fixture. If you don’t pay your players then there are already consequences, if that leads to you not fulfilling a fixture then there should be a set points deduction (maybe even automatic relegation) that you incur as would any other team who didn’t turn up for a match that is imposed almost regardless of the background to the situation.

Bolton Wanderers' administrators have identified a preferred new owner to take over the League One club.

Final offers were received from five parties before Wednesday's 16:00 BST deadline.

The successful bid met the criteria outlined by the administrators, including proof of funds for the next two years and EFL approval.

Not aware they were given any punishment so far, i remember reading that they were charged but don't recall seeing the punishment.

The bloke who did it got a laughably short prison sentence though.

They had two very good reasons - no money and no magic money tree.

If they weren't on strike too, perhaps they weren't scabs.
