Can't see that there was one specifically although it may have been taken into account with the 12 point deduction they will have to start next season with for going into administration. Give the EFL a chance, it's only been a month. They have a huge backlog including their investigation into Duchatelet reneging on staff bonuses.killerandflash said:

Last I heard it was being "considered" & any points deduction would be it addition to the 12 point penalty already received. I'm expecting the EFL will sweep it under the carpet.& will come up with the old West Ham.bollox of it not being fair on their fans.1 -

Definitely needs to be a harsh punishment for not fulfilling a fixture, the League would fall apart if that started to happen on a more regular basis.

Cant be difficult to make all new owners sign a Contract with the EFL that forces them to pay wages (to everyone, players and club staff) every month unless they can provide damned good proof for a reason to be unable to

In reality I don’t see how the EFL can start looking a different penalties depending on the reasoning for the unfulfilled fixture. If you don’t pay your players then there are already consequences, if that leads to you not fulfilling a fixture then there should be a set points deduction (maybe even automatic relegation) that you incur as would any other team who didn’t turn up for a match that is imposed almost regardless of the background to the situation.ForeverAddickted said:
