When Jonathan Johansson (excuse my spelling) came to Charlton from Rangers he said he was coming to a bigger club. As we were in the premier league. When was the last time you heard a player ever say "I am so happy to be coming to a smaller, less important club"?If we were in the PL, then maybe you have an interesting discussion. But we are not in the Premier League. In fact, we have not even played a game in the Championship yet! This is about whether Aribo is moving to a bigger club by going to Celtic (if that rumour is even true.) By any rational measure or by the opinion of anyone outside this rather-biased board (and probably the overwhelming majority on it), the answer would be .... yes.
You make more sense3 -
On a side note, not our rumour but a player I really have wanted us to sign for about 2 seasons now. Solid signing by Pompey
You would assume that means Nathan Thompson might be off? Wouldn't mind seeing Thompson down the valley, bit of a twat but decent player2 -
I like how Pompey are being run under Eisner. I think they go up in 2019-20.

Any transfer rumours or have I accidentally opened the “How big are Celtic?” thread?19

Celtic are no Mickey Mouse Club. Do me a favour.
Leaving aside their current attendances and the entire scale of the club, in 1967, they won the European Cup - when only the actual champions in each league got to enter. Every one of the 11 players who played in that game were born within 30 miles of Glasgow. What a fantastic achievement. They reached the final again three years later, when Feyenoord signalled the start of Dutch domination.
Just to show that my Irish background doesn’t impact my objectivity, I also pay tribute to Glasgow Rangers 3-2 win against Moscow Dynamo in the 1972 European Cup Winners Cup Final at the Camp Nou in front of a modest 24,701 punters.
I get the impression that the Glasgow press are trying to stir up a bit of desperate ‘click bait’. Probably the most fuss there’s ever been over a League 1 free transfer, reflecting the lack of dosh north of the border.

What is that in English? Is that one of Driesdens players he found on Football Manager?0
-
According to that he is being loaned to us after playing for them last year....

Ultima hora is equivalent to our 'breaking news'. It's literal translation is 'last hour'.
My response would be 'quien es Billy Arce?' Who the #%+! is Billy Arce?
The last time I looked, Brighton couldn't score a goal for love nor money, and this bloke couldn't even get into their team.1 -
Someone is just bound to say that Billy Arce would play well with Rod Fanni and Anil Koc...9

Billy is only 20 too so guess Brighton want him loaned out to an English team now to get him used to the style of football here, where better to send him than to a side who they have rather good relations with5 -
Presumably no relation to Oscar Arce, the ex-Aston Villa player of the late 1960s. Like his namesake (at least to date), he never played a first team game in England.0
-
If he played up front with Karin Bagheri we could have a Bagheri-Arce combo5
-
Spoken to my family member who works for Brighton, asked him about Billy Arce. His reply was that Brighton signed him for his stats at his age and that it would be good to see how he gets on in England.0

well on that basis I would want Brighton to be paying all his wages. Bowyer has a tiny budget and a punt like that soaking up even a small amount would be crazy.2 -

Put a offer to a club for a player and free transfers.
i wonder if it’s a fee to the club or a case of they want this player of the books so free2 -
Just how lucky was Duchatelet to end up with Bowyer, Jackson, Gallen and Marshall ?16
