    No.
    You mentioned the cabs though
Well you read it first so you must have booked yours ?
  • Well yes, but it's not a standard game with about 50 people collecting at a 3pm KO.
There will be more than 1100 tickets to be collected at a 12.15 KO.
IF the ticket office opens at 9 we are looking at 400 every hour, I can see lots of irate punters being delayed.

I cannot see tickets will be in an envelope and leave in 10 seconds.  You'll probably have to give a reference number then wait for the tickets to be printed.  Very time consuming.

    Will be carnage
The game could be finished by the time the last fans get their tickets.

I thought I read somewhere above the CAFC staff were working until 9pm tonight getting the tickets ready for collection? I would assume they will be printed, enveloped and have a name on the front ready for shipping up to Donny.

They’re being taken up by the club and then handed out. So they are printed and I imagine are in named envelopes...

What printing? Try and keep up. Charlton are physically taken the tickets that have been sold and not sent out to the stadium.

400 every hour would have to be divided by the number of windows, so maybe 100 an hour. It will be tight as loads will be on the 11am train. Hopefully those arriving by coach and car will have got theirs by then and will be tucking into a spot of lunch with a cold one.

What will cock it up are punters rocking up without a copy of the email and ID. (Plse note Cambridge).

The biggest problem is going to be those who are going to stop at a pub or two on the way, arrive just after noon and find a long line of fans; and then moan.
  • No update on official tickets sold since 5pm yesterday.
    Absolutely shocking .
    Ibborg look into it mate

And moan they’d be entitled to. Doncaster should have a “ticket buddy” for each person, holding up a placard with the purchaser’s name, arranged in a long line in alphabetical order so each and every Addick can turn up with ten minutes to go, get their ticket immediately and be shown to their seat.

That was my thought. Expected them to release West Lower first at the very least. I can understand leaving the West Upper until last.
  • I would have been there, but they all blur into one after a while. The worst away turnout I remember was the Saturday morning game at Notts County, which was about 60.

How about Luton away when we became Luton members of their scheme when away fans were banned? I remember bumping into you and a few others but I doubt there were more than 60.

I also recall being at the Boleyn Ground before segregation, there was no more than 50 of us in the first half and far less in the second after beatings under the stand.
  • It will be interesting to see if there are any tickets left for sale at the ticket office on Wed - Fri.
Unless they've held some back, which might explain the @1,000 discrepancy throughout the sales process.

East east stand a block opened now sell out on the way coyr💪💪
Strange that they didn't open Block A at the same time as Block B considering that the toilets down that end will now have to be opened anyway
  • It's going to be 27,111
    Happy days.

Doncaster won't sell out, so I reckon about 24k in the end

  • Surprised they are releasing the closed West Stand blocks last as visually these are the ones that will be shown by the cameras the most. If you wanted to showcase a large crowd, not sure you want empty blocks opposite the main cameras
Wouldn't worry about it too much, unless we get smashed 4-0 on Sunday it looks like being a home area sell out.
  • There’s a few people selling tickets for Sunday on the main Charlton Facebook group if anyone’s still hoping to go.

I don't know how well they will handle it, but in theory there is a transaction number attached to the tickets so it could be done pretty quickly. I'd have all the tickets that haven;t been sent loose, say transaction xxxxxx is two tickets, check number and give out two tickets. That would be quite fast.

    I'll second that.

Irrespective of the nutjob of an owner and lack of a SMT, the staff at the sharp end are what's holding things together. Let's never forget that.

They deserve a bonus. Roly. Roly? Roly, you listening Roly?

Ha, can you imagine how long it would take some of our fans to find & read a transaction number ?
It'll be difficult enough getting a name :-)
  • Meanwhile in the other semi final Portsmouth haven't sold out their 2k allocation at Sunderland.

And quite remarkably, Sunderland have sold less than 24k home tickets for tomorrow night.
