That’s ain’t a great selection tbh lol. A Couple miles out the centre and then York. You can get back from Sunderland to Hartlepool on the Saturday night, whereas to Durham you have to get the 21:50 from Stadium of Light station to change at Newcastle, the last train from Newcastle is at 22:300

It seems unfair that fifth place has to play at midday on a Sunday, yet sixth place still get the advantage of a home game at night. Surely fifth is the worst position to be in then. Surely sixth place should be given the worst home slot?1

Lucky enough to have friends in Newcastle so somewhere to crash if needed. Even then, they already have a houseful with relatives staying for the rugby but have said they will boot them out!
Our big issue will be if the home leg is on the Thu. Currently have sister in law and husband booked in to stay with us in Glasgow on their way to Orkney for a trip we've organised for them. Ummm. Key's under the mat - make yourself at home - we're off to London.4 -

So... what IS all the “linking your friends and family” business?
Like... if I have family with 2 season tickets, will they just be able to buy 4 match tickets that anybody can use, as per usual (when they become available to their tier in the process)? Or will they have to buy 4 tickets for named individuals linked to their accounts?
atm, we are assuming it’s the former and the linking but only applies if you want to get a whole bunch of tickets with multiple accounts all in one transaction and ensure you are all seated together, or whatever.
anybody got any insights?

Maybe the local police chiefs might want to think about what sort of mayhem will occur in their towns if they allow those games to go ahead on a Saturday night and a couple of thousand football fans who will have been drinking all day find themselves stuck there for the night and nothing else to do after the game but carry on drinking...palarsehater said:regarding other possible ties for the sat night

It’s Charlton 3rd, Sunderland 4th, Pompey 5th that is the ‘impossible’ combination. Thus away to Posh or Donny on Saturday night is an ‘impossible’ tie.2 -
The weekend times are bloody awful, irrespective of which teams are playing
Sunday lunchtime is a horrible time to play (and for away fans to get to), but Saturday evening from a police point of view is a nightmare. Rival fans drinking all day before a massively pressured match, then released into town at 9:40. I'm amazed the police allow it.0 -

Tickets will cost "from £18". However that is in the family stand and goes up to £21, £24 or £28 depending on where you sit elsewhere. And this is considered the cheaper of the two price schemes (silver instead of gold).

When will tickets for the semi-final away leg go on sale?
We don’t know the opposition for that tie yet, so we won’t have the tickets for the away leg at The Valley to be able to sell immediately. Therefore keep an eye on www.cafc.co.uk on Sunday, May 5th for more information on when tickets go on sale for the away leg and any restrictions. Loyalty points for 2019/20 season tickets will not count for the play-off semi-finals restrictions.
So when will tickets go on sale for the home leg of the semi-final?
Whatever the date, tickets for our home leg will go on sale on the following times:
- Sunday, May 5th at 10am: Season ticket holders and Valley Gold members who can purchase up to four tickets per person until tickets go on general sale.
- Monday, May 6th at 10am: General sale, at which point supporters can purchase up to six tickets per person
How can I purchase tickets for the home leg?
This year tickets for the home leg of Charlton’s play-off semi-final will be sold using the club’s new ticketing system.
The easiest way to purchase will be by visiting our ticketing website by clicking here. A step-by-step guide to purchasing online will be published tomorrow giving you time to make sure you know the process.
After fan feedback, the club will have additional support this season to cope with the demand of those booking over the phone, to help cover this there will be an extra 50p administration fee on bookings by phone. The number to call, once tickets go on sale is 03432081496, please do not call the normal ticket office telephone number. Despite the additional support, given the expected demand supporters are advised that booking online will still be the quickest and easiest way.
Supporters can purchase in person at The Valley on the Thursday before the home leg. Please note, you won’t be able to purchase in person at any other point.
How much will tickets for the home leg cost?
With large away crowds expected and with the club looking to get as much support as possible to get behind Lee Bowyer and the boys, the club will be offering tickets at our silver pricing range, meaning adult tickets start as just £18.
