Apples Jade threw that away I'd say. Shifting right at exactly the wrong time didn't help.

    Nearly time!

Just want to say many thanks for all the kind comments. It’s the thoughts and humour of every single contributor that makes this thread so enjoyable for me every year and there's some brilliant insight from a lot of serious racing folk. Cheers to you all.

I also really appreciate the faith that a lot of you place in my model. It's done OK down the years but there’s a definite risk that Mark II, having its first spin, careers off into a ditch and bursts into flames. If so, I do apologise. The model's always work-in-progress, of course, but I really hope it repays your faith (literally).

Whichever steeds are carrying your hard-earned, all the best to everyone and to all 40 runners and riders – come back safe and sound.

    COYR

I'm on board with you, mate. Obviously, a model is still subject to the developer's own bias, but given your track record and rock-solid, articulate reasoning, you're easily the single best analyst of the GN out there, and I have all my faith in you.

It's a pleasure to be on this forum and to share in your knowledge, and hopefully make a pretty penny too!

    Yes !!!

Had Tiger Roll £2.50 e/w (betting slip shows €1.25). Took sp with William Hill. Tv had it at 4-1 do I'm assuming that's £6.

Also had Livelovelaugh too.....but not sure where he finished as I think WH pay top 6.

    Fantastic horse Tiger Roll
And what a run by the mare, Magic Of Light. Closer to winning it than any mare for at least 31 years.

Bad afternoon for me in terms of bets, but happy to have witnessed that run. Incredibly nonchalant win in one of the most gruelling events in sport. Hung back surveying the field and then just breezed past at the end. Almost did it at a canter.

Got some money back from Walk in the mill too...

Had a tricast combination, picked the horses that finished 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th...

    Bastards.

Arguably the highest quality horse to win the great race. Amazing performance from a true staying superstar.

Son's namesake came through for me again in 6th place. Made the family a nice bit of cash for the second time in three years
