    We had to play 4 seamers and we had 5 to choose from. 3 of them can bat so it’s strange they didn’t go with it. On paper it lacks batting depth but Curran, Woakes etc aren’t any worse then Jennings or Burns anyway

    You would think so - he quite clearly has a very basic flaw in his batting that will need to be ironed out if possible.

    Burns, from what I've seen, is a little less assured against spin. But at least he can handle pace. Opening batsmen are supposed to be able to, you know

    Got England to score less than 350 in second innings befor start of play today at 5/4 on sky bet. Thought that was good odds.

    Both Holder and Stokes have the same Test batting average - 33. Holders inflated by his innings yesterday.

    He's not looking close to being the best all-rounder in England at the moment.
