I have watched so many Murray matches since he won the boys title in New York.
Two ways to look at his career, even though he is behind Roger, Novak and Rafa in open titles, he is still a two time Wimbledon champion, American open champion, two time Olympic champion, Davis cup winner and 5 time Australian open losing finalist.
If he had played in a weaker era for men's tennis he wouldn't of had to push himself so much.

A fantastic career which I don't expect to see replicated by a British player in my life time.

He’s 5-1 up in the tie breaker.....this is unbelievable!!!!!
  • Who would he get in the 2nd Round?

I presume it would be an easier tie than facing a seeded player like today?

2-2 in sets after 3 and a half hours. Fantastic effort from 2-0 down.

    Come on Andy!

    In tears I'd wager...
  • Great effort. It would have been sad if he had gone out in the first round in 3 straight sets
  • Superb comeback so far

    What channel is this on?
  • Fully expecting his post match interview to be: "Haha suckers, you actually believed me when I said I was in endless pain?"

This is Andy Murray, Yet another drama.
Will he be a British winner or a Scottish loser after 5 sets ?

Just seen he'd be up against John Millman from Australia (38th in the World)

Dont know much about him but wonder if Murray would have the full backing of the crowd in that one

John millman's biggest win was beating Roger Federer at the US open last year.

It's only the guts, determination and drive that got him to the top that is allowing him to carry on.

All over......boy oh boy did he give it a try though....magnificent.
  • Just really hope it isnt the last we see of him... Dont see him appearing again though let alone Wimbledon

Going to be a great addition to the BBC Coverage team though if he's not taking part

When you consider he has had minimal match play for so long, as well as not being 100% fit, to take the World No 20 (which I believe is Bautista-Agut's ranking) to 5 sets is to be respected.

I hope he can play at Wimbledon if only to allow the British public to give him a proper send off.
