Surprised that the Rams haven’t picked up any stragglers over the past couple of years.1

If we’re looking for glory hunters a Charlton forum probably isn’t the best place to startCallumcafc said:Surprised that the Rams haven’t picked up any stragglers over the past couple of years.

I am surprised there are so many ravens fans.
Fairly new franchise, not too much success, not a city you are immediately drawn to when arranging a trip to the U.S. etc.0 -
Almost blowing it two years in a row - well happy with that. What a play by Mosley!0

Didn't mind last years blow😊, glad you are through this year though! The Red Robin said:Almost blowing it two years in a row - well happy with that. What a play by Mosley!

AFC North could be a very competitive division from next year if the Bengals can sort themselves out. Wouldn't midn the Steelers having a quiet few years though. What a mess they are at the moment.Bigbadbozman said:

Lamar Jackson 6-1 as a starter, only loss to Cheifs in OT and is the only rookie QB to make the playoffs.
First rookie first-round pick to reach playoffs in six years (last was Robert Griffin III in 2012)
First AFC rookie quarterback to win a division title in seven years (last was T.J. Yates with Texans in 2011)
First rookie quarterback to clinch AFC North in 14 years (last was Ben Roethlisberger in 2004)0 -
Nothing would please more than the Steelers reverting to their form from the 80's for a few years. I think the North will be dominated by the Browns for the next decade if Mayfield continues to progress he's one hell of a player. Dalton I will begrudgingly admit is an above average QB nothing more and could do things if he has the right support (similar to Flacco imo). Big Ben will retire in the next 2 seasons, how do you replace him, I've stated on here many times how good I think he actually is, awesome. Sadly I don't think Lamar Jackson is a long term solution for the Ravens as the system ran will get him injured at some point also once teams adjust to your O do you think he can carry the Ravens on his arm?? I have my doubts! The Red Robin said:

Mayfield is a serious playmaker and I agree he'll need better receivers around him long-term. The Browns v Ravens rivalry could really go up a notch over the next few years if Mayfield and Jackson keep excelling. Jackson is bound to get injured if we run him as much as we have but Edwards and Dixon look like a great little combo in the running game to compliment him. Jackson can throw and I think we'll see more of that next year. Sadly, with the Steelers, I think Mason Rudolph will be good successor to Big Ben.Bigbadbozman said:

AFC North certainly going to be a strong division for the next year or two, personally I have waited a long time for the Browns to be competitive but Mayfield is a true franchise QB with a decade in the tank, he, just like Myles Jarrett showed this year, can on improve season on season.
I can see the Bengals, Ravens & Steelers games all being something to look forward to as opposed of to fearing going forward.
I am definitely booking a long weekend in Cleveland next year, outside chance they may also get to London when the Jets host a game, either way next years schedule looks easier than this years so bring it on!0 -
With all the Antonio Brown/Roethlisberger drama going on...

My attentions are now basically turned to the draft. We are a QB-needy team with a top ten pick in a draft light on QBs.
My choice would be Haskins out of Ohio, but he goes to the Giants one pick ahead of us. I don't like Lock, Grier, or Daniel Jones (et al), and would rather suck it up and wait for Tua/Fromm/Herbert in 2020.
Excited to see Nick Bosa, Ed Oliver and Quinnen Williams, wherever they land. There's a lot of defensive talent coming up.
----------------
As for the playoffs, it's all so exciting! I'm rooting for the Saints, if there's room on the bandwagon!0 -
10/1 Colts to make superbowl pretty decent? They looked very good the other day against Vikings, what am i missing as a casual fan? 25/1 to win it. in good form and dont really have a particular weakness0
-
Colts are a good team on the up but I suspect it’s one year too early for them.
They’re the sixth seed so they will have to travel to a divisional rival, followed by the Chiefs and then finally and most likely the Patriots. They’d have to win all three of those away games in the process.
It’s a big ask.1 -
That’s just after predicting them to go to the Super Bowl and face the Bears, yep!0
-
My Superbowl winning preferences:
Saints
Chiefs
Texans / Colts / Chargers /
Rams
Seahawks
Ravens
Bears
Cowboys
Patriots0 -
The last time a wildcard team made it to the Super Bowl was in 2011: Green Bay. The last time an AFC wildcard team made it was in 2006.
In the last four years, seven of the eight teams involved in Super Bowls have been the #1 seed. The other team that wasn’t a #1 seed, was a #2 seed.
The rest week clearly makes a huge difference in recent times.2 -
Cowboys will win at home vs Seattle, but will lose in the next match.
My gut is New Orleans.
My heart says Brady, just because I've started to love him more as he and I get older0
