Phillips: 7.5 some good saves at the end
Dijksteel: 7 played well I thought
Sarr: 7 dependable, did get beaten in the air for the second goal but nobody was looking for the second ball
Stevenson: 6 could he not at least have scored that open goal
Marshall: 7.5 MOM kept us going, looked lively and dangerous. Did also put in the worst cross of all time at one point though
Reeves: 6 a bit rusty and misplaced a fair bit
Clarke: 6.5 some nice touches
Lapslie: 6 doesn't bring much about for all his endeavour
Maloney: 5.5 one great block and a lot of not being ready

Two soft goals of our own doing. Men against too many boys and the senior players didn't help their cause. We got what we deserved...….a cup exit. Now we can concentrate on the league.

Referee - 7: pretty good. Got his chubby frame around well
Phillips: 7 - some good saves towards the end
Dijksteel: 7 - strong, fast and reliable. Looks like he's never going to get a game in central midfield, notwithstanding our difficulties in that area
Sarr: 7 - reasonably solid and some nice balls forward
Stevenson: 4 - not ready for the first team. After a difficult start, his confidence levels deteriorated as the game went on although, in mitigation, he is not a left back
Marshall: 9 - MOTM - defended well, had some excellent runs down the right and showed great determination and energy throughout. The only one of our players who really troubled Donny
Reeves: 4.5 - really poor and wanted far too much time on the ball. Understandably rusty but his performance was reminiscent of his bad games last season. The 65 minutes should help him
Clarke: 5.5 - some nice touches but not really able to influence the game. Good to get 90 minutes under his belt
Lapslie: 6 - showed his usual energy and commitment but suffered from a lack of support and drive in midfield
Maloney: 4.5 - showed a few nice touches but is not yet at the required level
Hackett-Fairchild: 5 - a few skilful moments but he is too lightweight at present and needs to toughen up. An exceptionally heavy touch meant he squandered a really good opportunity just before their second goal
Ajose: 4 - barely touched the ball and is far too weak. A very comfortable afternoon for Donny's central defenders.

By way of an aside, although he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes, I really liked the look of Sarpong-Wiredu.

Phillips: 6.5 Good saves but doesn't command.
Dijksteel: 7 I've liked him at centre-back but was always going to struggle in the air. Still, he's developing nicely.
Sarr: 6.5 Was obliged to defend all the set pieces on his own in that line-up.
Stevenson: 5.5 Fluffed his lines at 0-0 when he was nearly in on goal. Stuck at it well and may develop into a decent enough player.
Marshall: 8 - So much positive running and has never seen so much of the ball. The only player who looked like he might score.
Reeves: 5 - Disappointing. He scored roughly 1 in 4 for MK Dons. Where have all the goals gone?
Clarke: 5.5 - Odd moments of quality but better when he dropped back and got involved rather than hovering about behind the front two. Still looks lightweight in front of goal.
Lapslie: 6 - A lot of effort and a few decent balls. Was having to cover so much ground. These cup games have been good for him.
Maloney: 5.5 - Better than he was at Mansfield. He can definitely play and did some good things but he needs to be playing regularly at non-league (can't see a League 2 club playing him regularly).
Hackett-Fairchild: 5.5 - Much better than he was at Mansfield. His hold up play was good but physically he doesn't compete and looks hopeless in the air. Some very deft touches and can clearly play. Get him on loan somewhere he can play and get bashed up a bit.
Ajose: 4.5 - Not much service but didn't gel with RHF. Makes a lot of runs which are wasted by our slow build up play. Looked SO much better with Taylor alongside.

Morgan: n/a - Not great.
Sarpong-Wiredo: n/a - I like him. He's fast and he's direct. I just hope the coaches don't turn him into another negative wide-man and let him do his thing. He could be a useful sub in the months to come.
