Richard Scudamore: Premier League clubs asked for £250,000 towards £5m bonus
All 20 Premier League clubs have been asked for a £250,000 contribution so that the league's outgoing executive chairman Richard Scudamore can be given a £5m farewell gift.
Good to see that as football is awash with money that its going to its grass roots.

Fully deserved.
The article confirms that he's paid £2.5m per season.
The £5m will at least go some way to allow the poor little lamb to lead a normal life and rehabilitate back into society when he leaves.12 -

Notice how Scudamore hasn’t exactly been quick in coming out and denying he wants this bonus. Anyone with any integrity would donate this to charity or use it as further investment for grass roots.eaststandmike said:

If this does happen, hopefully Scudamore, who is already earning £2.5million a year, will do the decent thing and redistribute some of his bonus money back into football e.g. community trusts, football beyond borders, kick it out. No person needs that much money.0

Grass roots football continues to struggle with councils selling off playing fields left right and centre. Meanwhile, a £5m "thank you", which would fund a hell of lot of local schemes, is being paid to an executive who will already have built up a pension pot 99.9% of the population could only dream of.
