Goodbye to one more sound of my childhood.
Great musician, a lot more to him than 'She'...
RIP Charlo

RIP.
Less familiar to us than most, but he was a stellar songwriter.

Always loved the song 'She' - he had a very distinctive voice.0

Affectionately known in my circle as 'Charles Asnovoice' sadly that is now true.
He brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.

I love this quote:
"I like Charles Aznavour a lot," said Bob Dylan. "I saw him in sixty-something at Carnegie Hall, and he just blew my brains out."

English language version of his LP 'She' is very good - I have it somewhere
My mum and dad used to put the LP on as background music whilst they held dinner parties in the 70's
He reminds me of my childhood
Very good artist - lovely voice and he was in the 70's version of 'And there were none'

I saw Aznavour fifteen years ago in Paris on his first 'farewell' tour. He was still doing farewell tours up to last year! He was mesmerising on stage - acting out songs with passion. He was also an excellent screen actor, especially in one of my favourite movies, Tirez Sur La Pianiste. Thanks for all the memories, Charles.1
