Be nice if they can hold back and let Garcia try it on the next hole

    Europe can't lose from here.

    Garcia 2UP, 2 to play.
    Molinari 3UP, 3 to play.
    Stenson 5UP, 5 to play.

Europe guaranteed at least 15 points.
  • Done. Sergio and Stenson both guaranteed half point each.

Some people think it's all over.
    It is now.
  • Molinari wins the point to win Ryder

Also fitting as the first European to go 5 out of 5.

Has a Ryder cup winning handshake ever happened on the tee before?

Pretty disrespectful in my view. He's denied a player probably the only opportunity he will ever have to hit a winning putt to secure the Ryder Cup.

Really not a fan of Mickelson.
  • Brilliant. A fully deserved win against a strong American team. Well done Team Europe!!

Supposedly a nice guy off the course but has been a prick on it a few too many times for me.

What was that all about by Reed? Telling the crowd to be quiet after he won his match?

Hard not to blub watching all the celebrations. We are a proper team. The yanks look like a bunch of individuals.

I think it was done with a bit of irony. Still not a great look though.

Thought that but Butch Harmon, who knows the mentality of the US golfers didnt like it.

I’m no fan either and it did seem a bit sulky, but not too bothered. The important thing is he got his arse kicked.
Bjorn’s captain’s picks decided this Ryder cup:
Poulter, Garcia, Stenson and Casey for Europe - Poulter and Garcia, in particular, always raise their game for the Ryder Cup, but all four are experienced veterans who brought far more to the team than just their golfing ability.
Woods, Mickelson, DeChambeau and Finau for USA - Woods and Mickelson picked on reputation despite poor/unremarkable Ryder Cup records, and I would suggest that Woods and Mickelson don’t bring anything extra to their team.

Definitely meant as a joke at his own expense, I think, as he then clapped them straight after.

The win coming courtesy of a Mickelson water shot just perfect if you ask me. Will never forgive him for the way he treated Tom Watson like dirt at Gleneagles.

Noticeable all through that Americans when interviewed usually talked about how they had played individually whereas Europeans always wanted to talk about the team.

    Fabulous sporting day.

Are we still allowed in after Brexit? ;-)
