Back in the mid 80s I first got interested in Charlton by reading my dad's copies of Voice of the Valley.
One of the first articles i remember was about the new relegation from the football league to the Vauxhall Conference and the possibilities of future league matches such as Cray Wanderers v Crystal Palace or Maidenhead v Millwall.
Now we are playing in division 3 to a team that back in the day was only famous for a milk advert.0 -

Charlton Live mentioned that this was the first league meeting with Accrington but that we’d played them in the cup in the 1920’s. anyone know when that game was or what the score was?0
