Good news for whoever is playing Shrewsbury next
Ipswich have signed centre-back Toto Nsiala and midflieder Jon Nolan from Shrewsbury Town for a combined fee of £1.75m.
Nolan especially as he's gone from Conference > League Two > League One > Championship in consecutive years, only won promotion once in those three years as well
Wouldn't be surprised if he's in the Premier League in a few years1 -
Be interesting to see how this one plays out
Sky Sources are saying that Aston Villa have no intention of selling Jack Grealish to anyone this transfer window0 -
Anyone else have an irrational hatred for Grealish?
Can't stand him, no real reason why.3 -
He looks a right prick, dont know if its his haircut or whatstackitsteve said:Anyone else have an irrational hatred for Grealish?

Probably a really nice lad but know what you mean1 -
Personally, he made a few appearances for Villa in the Prem, then all the talk started about whether he would play for England or Ireland. He wasn’t even that good at that point.stackitsteve said:Anyone else have an irrational hatred for Grealish?

He's definitely improved yet there are still a few good upcoming Midfielders in his way for EnglandRoss said:

Certainly not a youngster that MAYBE could have made a difference for us this summer like Lookman | Sessegnon | Foden | Mount etc.1 -

Derby have completed the signing of Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich.
The 28-year-old striker signs for £5m on a three-year contract.
Bizarre.
on the surface yes .. but when he was a failure with us, Waghorn was still a teenager or at least just out of his teens .. he's 28 now, probably at the peak of his powers .. his scoring record over the past few years has got better and better even taking into a/c the time @ Rangers ..
As a BIG Lampard fan, I can't see him making too many bad judgements on players, and, of course, £5 Million to Derby is a small fee (they just sold Vydra to Burnley) and any club looking for promotion from the Champ needs a good pool of strikers … oh that we could afford to take a 5million punt on a striker who will probably spend a lot of time on the bench2 -
Has courtois not got long left on his contract? BBC saying he could be going to Real or £35mill and Chelsea signing Kepa for £71mill.
I know he wants aways, but why so 'cheap'?0 -
Kepa has just paid the £71mill to buy himself out so he must be going somewhere.

Yes I suspect the BACS payment was sent from a bank in SW London.LargeAddick said:

In Spain every player must have a buy out clause.LargeAddick said:

If a club wants to buy the player at this price, they pay the money to the league which is seen as the player buying themselves out of their contract, so the buying club can negotiate with the player.
Once the transfer is completed, the money is paid to the selling club.1 -
perhaps someone should tell the BBC thatBen18 said:

Sort of signings we could've been making if we'd won the play offs and been taken over by a forward thinking ambitious owner. The Red Robin said:

Wolves have signed Spanish winger Adama Traore for a club-record fee from Middlesbrough after meeting his £18m release clause.
Fairly average championship players now fetching almost 20m!0 -
Completely rational hatred here, turned down a move to Charlton in favour of Southampton 2 seasons ago, claiming we didn't match his ambitions, now handing in a transfer request after Southamptons relegation to the Championship, meanwhile I turned down the opportunity to sign him and snapped up Pulisic for my Europa league competing Addicks.stackitsteve said:Anyone else have an irrational hatred for Grealish?

If I was a Rams fan I'd be mightily pissed off to lose Vydra & replace him with Waghorn. Waghorn has had 1 good season in England (last year)......£5m ??? football's gone madLincsaddick said:The Red Robin said:Derby have completed the signing of Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich.

McGinn joins Villa from Hibs .. good signing .. precursor to Grealish joining who knows who ? .. McGinn could turn out to be the better player in the long run0

Accrington have lost Kayden Jackson to Ipswich which'll be good ahead of playing them next week
Could be an even harder season for them as he got a good number of goals for them last term0 -
Man Utd now going after Diego Godin apparently...
Hope they dont realise that Patrick Bauer could be available seeing they're going after every Centre-Back1 -
Utd are desperate. They know full well they just need to sack Mourinho. Glad Maguire isn't going there to just be taught how to kick people. Would love to see Maguire at Arsenal or Liverpool instead.0

Sign of the times that no-one wants to play for ManUre3
-
Maguire, Boateng, Alderweireld, Godin are all better than what they have
They'll end up with Mina, who isn't0 -
On the BBC
BBC Radio Shropshire are reporting that Shrewsbury Town have signed the Tranmere Rovers midfielder Ollie Norburn. He becomes the new Shrewsbury manager John Askey’s 14th signing of the summer.
BBC Radio Nottingham's Robin Chipperfield tells us that Forest are close to signing Huddersfield defender Michael Hefele today.
And Kayden Jackson has signed for Championship side Ipswich Town for more than £1m in a new record deal for Accrington Stanley.
The striker scored 16 goals last season as Stanley won the League Two title and was impressive in pre-season against higher league opposition.1 -
Godin is 33 this season, total panic buy if they sign him.
Guardiola gets criticised for his spending but at least he has a plan and builds a team who can play together for years.2 -
Bet they'd love to play for ManUre, its Maureen they dont wanna play forsam3110 said:Sign of the times that no-one wants to play for ManUre

I think the lustre of Man Utd was tarnished beyond repair a few years ago, when the Fergie era came to a close .. fame and devotion no longer last as they used to.ForeverAddickted said:

Anecdote .. stopped for a coffee on the way home on Tuesday and got chatting to a Chinese student .. he said that Barcelona is his favourite (he was wearing the shirt), though they are not what they were .. English team ? .. Manchester City, very quick, nice colour shirt, very skilful, very young .. Chinese no longer like Man U .. too old, too slow .. Charlton ? .. no, who ? .. Chelsea ? .. was good, no more, where David Luiz ? lol ((:>)3
