    Kane is our talisman - so much so that if he is carrying a knock we are unlikely to take him off as it would be such a boost to Croatia. And he is our number one penalty taker so needs to be on the pitch at the final whistle.

    We've just let them have the ball and given Modric and Rakitic too much time with it. If we're sitting that deep we can't even counter because Rashford is halfway inside his own half and Kane isn't quick enough to maintain a counter attack.

    I'm not sure what Southgate does here. Rose on for Young is an obvious move as Young is getting pulled inside too much.

    That was very, very worrying. Not only conceded but showed absolutely no positive glimpses. Everything that we were doing positively went to shit.

    Game of two halves.

    Croatia adjustments in the second half gave them control, Rebic switched from right to left. Trippier couldn't handle the overload on that side of the pitch on his own, Dele Alli not as effective tracking back there as Lingard is on the left hand side defending Young.
