Well the flags have all gone, especially from the cars. And having not seen any sign of an English car, or heard an English voice since we got here a week ago, I suddenly came across a St George's flag proudly sitting on a balcony at the top of a holiday apartment block. I had the distinct impression that it was quietly taunting the whole town. My wife tells me to stop gloating. She is Czech. She doesn't understand.

And he is questioning many of the German footie strengths I have always championed on here. I am sure he is right to do so. But equally, I am sure they will work it out. Like my buddy said. We are all laughing at them now. But they will be back, stronger than ever. Just you wait and see.
