Sitting at home on the sofa with a coffee probably.

Sounds like Sterling will start today. Dele not fit so I assume Sterling drops back with Rashford coming or in Loftus-Cheek starts.

I'd leave Sterling where he is instead of Rashford - Would then put Loftus-Cheek in place of Alli

Same I think. Give him another crack at it.

    Team reported to be:

    Pickford
    Walker Stones Maguire
    Henderson
    Trippier Loftus-Cheek Lingard Young
    Sterling Kane

However, I really was hoping for Rose to come in for Young and potentially Rashford for Sterling. But having Rashford come off the bench is still a good option. Just can't see the point in playing Young when Rose is clearly the better option and provides us with balance.

    From home with the family

I would like sterling to be given the chance to get over that performance

We should beat the panama team with ease but I foresee nervous embarrassment and pain for us until we come good late on

    3-1

    Linegard
    Cheek
    Kane

I've no problem with Sterling being given another chance

We may make changes for the Belgium game anyway, especially if we don't want to win it

Glad that Sterling is starting... I've been one of his biggest critiques on here yet needs to start for his confidence

Dropping him will just do more harm than good and starting against Panama should mean that he'll get on the score sheet so improve his confidence

Only downside is the fact that the leaked team sheet will turn out to be false so the Press will no doubt start moaning that there was no harm in them showing a photo of it in the first place... If I've learnt one thing from the past week its how pathetic our press can be when they're in the wrong... they're happy to dish the dirt and mess people around yet when its on the other foot, god do they throw their toys out the pram!!

The missus has booked in a meeting with our wedding videographer at 11 and apparently I have to go. To say I was a bit peeved would be an understatement. I now have to hope the meeting doesn’t last too long and I can then get home / to the pub by 1pm
  • Excited to see how RLC (Cheek) does today.
Normally, weaker opposition would try and physically target our more skillful players, but we’ve got some big lads in our team so shouldn’t be that much of an issue.

Would love to see Sterling score today

Have fun. Hated doing that for our wedding.

RLC is a big unit though, 6 ft 3, I don't think he'll be bullied

If he does well at this world cup, surely Chelsea will play him next season, especially as not being in the CL will affect who they can buy?

Hungover as f*ck today, only choice is to get back on the beers with @Eirik Bakke . Heading to the sports bar at the casino here. Loads of English will be there. Should be a cracking atmosphere!

I'm racing me bike. So I'll be getting updates from the motorbike outriders

I'll go with a cheeky 4-1, with Kane getting another 2

Ice cold beers at home while watching Kane et al send us victorious into the next round. What a glorious day for watching England in the World Cup.

Sitting outside a bar in Nizhny right now. From what I've seen Panama fans outnumber England. Can't wait though, it's been great over here so far.

Would have be tempted to rest him or Walker in favour of Cahill

Dont want England players being injured by over zealous fouls from Panama, plus need others to be ready if called upon later in the competition

Really hope Sterling starts and does some magic.

He has a lot of pressure which we blame on the media but the fans equally pressure him. Everyone I know either loves or hates him.

I think he's quality and hope he can produce it for England. Our closest player to world class imo, after Kane obviously.

Just hope he isn't another Rooney. World Class for club and poor for country.

Really big test this for England.

The Kind of game they would really make hard work of in major tournaments gone past.

See if it really is a new dawn
