Depends what you believe with Murray. Personally I don’t believe he is not party to the details of negotiations. I suspect he knows all key details.22

This. I see he's also spinning the Duchatelet story that there's a separate British consortium still involved. Does anyone actually believe that?AFKABartram said:Depends what you believe with Murray. Far too much reverence towards 'Richard' I'm afraid and what appears to be acceptance of everything he has to say.castrust said:Trust speak to Richard Murray regarding takeover delay https://www.castrust.org/2018/06/richard-murray-two-parties-still-negotiating/
I would hope that CAST would be far more robust in their questioning of 'the conduit between the fans and the owner'. He is well aware of the consternation that is being felt by the grassroots fans yet the best he can manage if a few words of comfort.
It's about time CAST started to throw it's weight about with some transparent communication with all the major parties involved to get some clarity of the situation. They have been disappointedly quiet for the last two or three months.

Are they allowed to. NDAs preventing that I feel.Davo55 said:Problem is, I don’t really believe anything Murray says. Or Duchatelet. And even the Aussies seem to have been giving us just half the story (the rosy picture).
Wouldn’t it be nice if the people involved actually gave a complete and joined up statement.0 -
NDA count for zip in the world of leaks and unofficial chats James we all know that
All sides are leaking what they want out there it just depends what side of the leaking news you chose to believe the most

By the way this is the start of the spin from all sides i was on about at lunchtime
RM and the two consortiums still negotiating
Charlton Del Amitri day part three
“ And the needle returns to the start of the song”
It’s so easy to read how this game gets played out month after month1 -
If those with power don't know we figured out already that we are being played then they are fools.
It isn't the slightest bit subtle or credible.
Duchatelet is the owner, and he doesn't give a feck about the club but only himself. No spin needed, we get it full well.

Muir has $500M in cash after the sale of The Good Guys. Other news had him making another $200M with the sale of some other assets last year.
If he is balking over a mil here or there or playing games... while the assets go out the front door.....or if somehow he is struggling to get the money together for the deal.... I am not sure I want him anymore.

'Richard wants to reassure us that the club is not a total lame duck'. WTF??? Just a bit of a lame duck then. Oh do fuck off.43

There's not many times I agree with you but on this I do. I had hoped that having Muir on board we had got away from the original consortium & their funding problems....I understand that everyone has their price & you don't want to pay silly money for things, but its false economy if you piss around now over a million or two which means we are buggered for the rest of the season by not having a decent squad come August.NapaAddick said:Muir has $500M in cash after the sale of The Good Guys. As for RM & his insistance that there are 2 parties still at the table.....all I can say is that he lied in February & he's lying again. No-one ITK seems to think there is anyone but the Aussies left at the table & I'm sure something would have leaked re the fit & proper test if there was. RM gets his instructions from RD & we all know what line he is peddling.
RM.....just feck off14 -
I don't think this British consortium ever existed. It's a negotiating trick being used by RD IMO. And yes I'm aware of the McLeish fronted bid but we all know that's a dead duck. The Red Robin said:

Kind of like when you buy a house...and you're told there's another interested party but if you bid the right amount then the house is yours...
As for The Trust meeting Murray, I would have hoped The Trust would have asked about RD's alleged comments made to the B20 that Murray would have been fine with RD retaining The Valley.4 -
Can someone update the summary version of this thread and pin to the top of the list.1
-
Oh dear. Based on that Murray statement it would appear the delay is due to the price still not being agreed. Is that another lie? I certainly do not believe we have more than one interested bidder.0

Just seen the latest Tripadvisor review on Hotel Stayen
Dirty rooms, impolite staff & disgusting food. The rooms smelt musty and damp. The rooms were not cleaned properly. The owner looks like a tramp with yellow teeth, and his shoes had a piece of duct tape holding the sole on.
Brilliant!76 -
Murray will speak to the trust and update them but nothing on the official site from him.

Four new players! Haha we need more than four Dickie.
We also need to appoint an entire staff.
What a depressing shambles....still.2 - Sponsored links:

Lee Bowyer is talking to potential signings
Unless these signings are free agents, or past 33, Bowyer (or anyone else connected with the club) is (officially, at least) prohibited from talking to other clubs' players, unless the clubs have agreed a fee or compensation.
So either someone at the club is negotiating fees for the purchase of players, but we haven't been told who; or Bowyer (more particularly Charlton) is guilty of tapping up.
Which is it Richard?1 -
It comes back to Duchatelet. He is asking far too much for a debt, the size of which is very largely of his own making. This due to some very poor football, player & business decisions relating to Charlton. Not that the miserable fecker will ever acknowledge that.
My concern is that Duchatelet not finding any takers will attempt to get his money back by any means necessary including sale of the Valley, which he will need to empty of supporters by underfunding the team & driving it further down the league.7 -
You know we will end up signing the sort of crap Parkinson brought in - Doherty, Spring, Llera, Abbott, McCormack, Kandol, Mooney etc, etc.Valley11 said:Four new players! Haha we need more than four Dickie.

Macauley Culkin isn’t British. If you swapped him for Yvette Fielding then I’d consider your gif accurate.Raith_C_Chattonell said:There's a British consortium too???

They are ok to feed you and press snippets suggesting all is fine and dandy but it’s now very clear that they hadn’t got all their ducks in a row to complete the takeover - yet.5 -
