Thought I'd start a thread here for our collective betting exploits during the World Cup!

A few that have taken my fancy:

Brazil/France/Germany each to win all their group games - 20/1

Brazil/Germany to win all their group games and Iran/Panama to lose all of theirs - 80/1

Brazil/Germany/Uruguay to reach the quarters - 4/1

England to lose in the quarters & France to reach the semis - 6/1

Spain to win their group, Kane to score 2+ goals and Panama to score 0 goals - 10/1

Australia/Costa Rica both to get 0 points in their group - 22/1

Messi to win the golden boot, England to lose in the quarters & Spain to win the World Cup - 175/1

    As Lineker once said

Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win.

Look for odds of England to go out by way of penalties - has to be a decent punt surely.

Denmark are unbeaten in 15 International matches. What are the odds of them making the final round of 16?

William Hill are doing some good offers this tournament, £5 free bet every time your player scores if you bet £10 on him and likewise if you bet on a team to win.

William Hill online are currently offering 5/1 England win all three group games. They are priced up 2/5 4/11 and 7/5 individually which is around 7/2 tops. So some value here, unless you think England will not wish to win the group.

Think England will want to win group but can easily see us drawing against Belgium

Still a decent value bet. Betfair Sportsbook have the same bet at 6/1 with 25 quid max stake.

England will only want to win their Group if Colombia are winning theirs... Southgate will probably have the opinion that he dont care who they play in the Knockout rounds yet think we'd be more confident against Poland whilst should beat Senegal or Japan if they get second

Looked and can not see this. They have England to get 9 points from group games 4/1, but no sign of 6/1. Must have been a special ?

So , England best price 7/17 and 4/13 to win first two games. A £1 on these 2 games pays out 1.84. England best price to beat Belgium 2/1 . This may well contract if when we win first two games.

So take the 6/1 for £25. Potential profit £150 !

When we win the first two , lay England for £25 on Bet Fair Exchange at 2/1.

If England win game you get £100 if England fail to win game you get your £25 back.
So you can turn 4/5 on the first two games into 4/1.

    Simples ?

I’ve seen Saudi Arabia being touted at almost 10/1 to beat Russia. I think that is a cracking price.

Looked at that myself. I think 11/5 for Saudi Arabia +1 is very good too

Dark forces at play. Russia will comfortably best Saudi Arabia and progress to the knockout stages.

Would rather play Colombia on European soil than Poland myself.

Understand your reasoning, as Poland do have good players like Lewandowski. However, Colombia’s team is very strong too and threatening, they could hurt us maybe more than I think Poland can.

Would imagine Poland would have a huge support as well, can't see to many Colombian's going to Russia.....unlike the support they had in Brazil.

Read this and prepare to be shocked (as I was). https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/2018-fifa-world-cup-more-than-2-4-million-tickets-allocated-additional-inventory

For those who can't be arsed to read it, Colombia will be the second best supported side not including Russia. Twice as many supporters as England. Poland not even in the top ten.
