I know it sounds weird because he's highly rated but when you think of the success of the Manchester City side of the last decade and the Spain side of that same time frame, Silva's name would probably be fourth or fifth (or lower for Spain) despite consistent brilliance over the years.

    I actually compare David Silva alot with Overmars.

    Fantastic player but never gets the plaudits he deserves and people always put someone above him when picking the best sides as you say.

    silva's been one of their consistently best players for years.
