I'm wondering whether he - or his agent - has put this Barnsley rumour out themselves; perhaps in an attempt to gain a stronger hand during any subsequent negotiations with a new owner?

Just like the usual shenanigans and games that happen during transfer windows?

I hope he has and I hope that makes the new owners think that they shouldn't worry about sacking him as he'll soon be back on his feet and make it a priority to sack him as soon as possible.

He can put out as many rumours as he wants.
If the new owners watched our last game against Oxford it won't help him one bit

I don't buy this argument that the new owners should want to "bring in their own man". If they are not already in the football business, why would they have 'their own man" or rather, what experience do they have to know that he would be better than KR? You don't do this when you buy a normal business. In a normal business situation they would come in, take one look at the figures, and fire the CEO. But she saw that coming and jumped before they could push her. But if you looked at the "figures" for Robinson, including the budget at his disposal, would you say that is a sackable performance? I don't see that at all.

Sadly I think it highly unlikely that our tactical genius would move up north. Aside from moving the family his missus has a business in the Milton Keynes area I believe.

Exactly, and add that any new manager would want his own back room staff and have his own ideas as to formation etc. I would hate to see JJ and Bowyer chucked out and would have serious concerns as to results if our current squad as I am not sure players would be totally effective playing in a different formation.

Best left as is and see what happens.

Bit of a step up for the Welling Manager, I would've thought... ;)

I don't think KR is destined for big things, but I also don't think he deserves the sack. Certainly no harm in giving him this season. We are going to need a revamp in the summer either way, to be honest would prefer to do that in League 1 than the Champ anyway.

When you take away the loanees, I don't think you are left with more than 3/4 top quality League 1 players. We would need about 12 players to compete in the champ, would prefer to do that over 3 windows than the 1.

If it's Andrew Muir I'm sure he'd have someone with knowledge of English football advising him. Mark Schwarzer was onboard in some capacity when AFC first mooted their interest.

I don't get the love for KR. If he's going better he goes now so the new manager can assess the squad and get on with recruiting the players needed to get out of League One next season. If in the meantime he can get promotion with the current squad then all the better. I just have no confidence that KR can do that.

Well, I hope we go up this season. Wolvesing it over League One next season would be terribly dull tbh - I'd want to see us have a crack at the Championship asap

    Not bothered about Robinson tbh
    If he stays he stays
    If he goes he goes.
Don't care either way. The important thing is Roland selling.
Whoever buys the club are fully entitled to have the manager of their choice.
If that is Robinson fair enough.
If it's someone else then that is their decision.
I shall support whatever they decide as they have rid us of Roland.

I think Robinson has done well under difficult circumstances, with next to no money, and I’m sure a new owner will give him a chance. He’s earned it.

Yes he has loads to learn and makes mistakes, but I’m happy to see how he gets on with a new more ambitious owner in charge. From 21st Feb of course.

Hull, Sunderland and possibly Birmingham could join us next season, which would make it a very tough league to get out of. We need to get promoted this season.

Dunno... Neither Hull or Sunderland look like investing in anyone to help them recover

Sunderland especially at the moment appear to be filled with kids and a very bad wage bill (which isn't going down because they're only able to loan out their big names) - Sunderland could be in trouble for a while
