Charlton Drone on and on.

Brief mention on SSN just now about how Charlton are using a drone to film games/training at Sparrows Lane.

Said there is a longer feature tomorrow.

For Roland's live feed now he's more involved.

Knowing our luck, it'll probably fall from the sky and injure half our squad!

Judging by our performances recently, I don't think anyone else will be adopting it any time soon

Apparently Solly got injured while they were filming...though not sure it was drone-related!

There was a coach I found on instagram a while ago who worked for/with Charlton and uploaded a few of the drone clips. Will try and see if I can find him again.

I have a mate that works for technical rescue (The Thunderbirds of the fire service) he has just done his drone operators exam, prior to that he operated the camera. He hardly stops going on about it.
  • Archaeologists use drones these days. Maybe they've been called in to do a rescue dig for Magennis' scoring boots.

    Working great, ain't it?
  • I could understand this if Leaburn was still playing.
  • Here's the article:

My friend was the one who wrote it. He said he quiet liked Karl Robinson after the day he spent down the ground - but then again he is a Millwall fan.

A birds eye view of 4-2-3-1 must be to KR what Pornhub is to @DaveMehmet

We had a forerunner of drone technology at The Valley in the 50s. If you stood at the very top of the old East Terrace (higher than the roof of the present East Stand) you had a vertiginous view of the pitch and from that height the players looked to me as a small boy like ants way down below. As you had a much better view of the spaces between them than they did it could be frustrating if they didn't take what seemed like the best passing options.
